Thank you moderators and top fans for doing such a fine job of curating the vast amount of LZ information that's floating around the internet. As for me, I'm about as old as LZ but didn't start listening to the albums until I was in my thirties probably. I'd always liked the songs I heard on the radio--loved bouncing around to "D'Yer Mak'er" as a little kid when we'd hear it in the car for example-- but had gotten the impression from somewhere that LZ was a heavy metal group, which I don't like. I guess I thought the LZ radio songs were anomalies and that the other album tracks were super metallic. So anyway, a folkie friend finally said "No, no, you've got the wrong idea!" and put on "Babe, I'm Gonna Leave You" and that was love at first listen so I started collecting the albums and so on.
