kayley10
Hi to all!!! I was looking up Knebworth today and stumbled upon a brilliant piece of 8mm footage that I've never seen before! A new project for LZF? The footage is blurred but it's new!

BlyZeppelinaren
Especially from the last shows. There's so little. Yeah exactly, I love the 1980 tour too! The ones that already exist are great

Sue Dounim
It would take a helluva lotta detective work to synch the correct audio to this footage.

ledzepfilm
OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SYNC ON THE WAY! From what I can tell, the Knebworth footage includes Kashmir, Achilles Last Stand, In The Evening, Stairway to Heaven, plus the encores. There is a bit of footage preceding Kashmir that I haven't been able to identify yet, but when I get the audio/video into Vegas I shall figure it out! Thanks kayley for your amazing find - I was just working with Knebworth footage today!
The Only Way To Fly
That's really cool! The guy was super close for both gigs. Shame about the focus - but I guess that leads to the mystique - IDK how many were at Knebworth but with SO many people, there has to be a good number of folks with Super 8MM footage somewhere in Grandma's attic! Great find indeed.

SteveAJones
The Knebworth clips are rubbish but the Dortmund is interesting, if only for a moment or two.

The footage before Kashmir seems to be shot during the daytime; you can still see the white tent. Zeppelin didn't go on till later on. Thanks kayley for your amazing find - I was just working with Knebworth footage today! Glad to be of service! I'm working with Knebworth as well which is how I stumbled upon it. Are you going to make a definitive Knebworth, like You Never Really Can Finish Anything... But We Did! for MSG? Looking forward with senses reeled to everything you may have up your sleeve. ;-)
TheLastSpartan
Awesome! It'd be nice though if the uploader got it properly converted instead of pointing a camera as it projects though. Beggars can't be choosers.
chillumpuffer
The Knebworth clips are rubbish but the Dortmund is interesting, if only for a moment or two. Why is it rubbish? It gives a feel of the day if only in pictures. Please can you upload your video diary of the day then, so we can compare? Priceless for those who were there anyway. Thanks for uploading the memory of the hot day back in August.
Walter
I thought the Knebworth video showing the tents, etc. certainly gave a glimpse of what people were doing before the event. Kinda cool. Of course, the '80 footage is awesome. Seeing them on stage is always magical!
Strider
Thanks for this, Kayley! Always a treat when any unseen footage sees the light of day. Looking forward to ledzepfilm's sync job. What would really thrill me would be if any film of the July 23/24 1979 Copenhagen warmup shows surfaced!
SteveAJones
Why is it rubbish? It gives a feel of the day if only in pictures. There are already numerous, much better quality photos and video of the crowd in circulation. The onstage footage is rubbish because it's distant, obstructed and adds nothing of particular interest to the pro-shot footage already in circulation. I'd feel differently if it showed anything not already captured by the camera crew or presented a unique angle of the proceedings but it doesn't. Just my two cents. ledzepfilm
Any audience shot video is exciting in my opinion. I think it shows some good ambience, even if there are much better quality videos out there.
