chef free Posted May 13, 2014 Posted May 13, 2014 The Winston Remaster is good but he used the Presence source. I like the CMI Remaster which uses EV's Live at Southhampton - The Working Tapes as a source. Both remasters have compression added to get Robert's voice up in the mix a bit; this adds to the noise floor but since Zeppelin is such a LOUD band it only matters at the quietest parts of the show. I also like the Tom P. Remaster of the CMI Remaster which seeks to separate the instruments by reversing CMI's overly enthusiastic use of compression. Quote

JTM Posted May 15, 2014 Posted May 15, 2014 They are all from the same source tape. The Presence source was I believe the first, so all other versions are just equalised versions of that Presence version. The same glitches are on every version, no matter how they have been masked. As they are all free to download get 'em all and make your own mind up. Quote
TheStairwayRemainsTheSame Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 EVSD sounds perfect to me. The show's sound is pretty average to those of the 73 shows though. Still my favorite boot nonetheless. Quote
