DAVIDALLEN Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Hello Led Zep People, I wanted to start a section that had everyones opinion of the best Led Zeppelin photos ever. I think this one is, but the group shot at the plane is great. I wish I was there! Quote
Deborah J Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Great shot^^ I love the photos from James Fortune, Robert M. Knight, Mark Bowman, Neal Preston, Bob Gruen...just to name a few. I agree with you as this is one of my favorite ones of them not on stage and all four together. I will post the link only:-). Great thread! http://www.bobgruen.com/files/ledzep/r052.html Quote
SteveAJones Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Well, I believe by definition the best photograph of Led Zeppelin would have to be one that depicts all four members, onstage or offstage. Quote
SummerOfMySmiles Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 I agree, the famous Starship shot(s) would be like the quintessential magnitude of the band. BUT... Led Zeppelin's best picture has got to be playing music - what they best did. Led Zeppelin's grandiloquence comes through my bet for Best LZ Pic: (Photo Credit: Michael Putland) Quote

Really like the one you picked Quote

I think this one is, but the group shot at the plane is great. I wish I was there! This one by Neal Preston is one of the best ever IMHO: Quote
tmtomh Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Some of my favorites: Couldn't find a higher-res version of this last one, but it's glorious. Quote
DAVIDALLEN Posted June 3, 2014 Author Posted June 3, 2014 Hello All, How about this put together group shot? Thanks! Quote
SummerOfMySmiles Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 David, that's a collage right? Cool one, but I actually like the original picture better! Looks a bit odd: Jonesy, Page and Plant giving it all and Bonzo just overlooking haha Quote
ListenToThis Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Steve is right on this, any "greatest" photo must contain prominent and clear views of each individual member. The idea that a photo of just Page and Plant could be the best ever is ridiculous. While a good concept, this type of thread has been attempted before and always quickly dissolves into opinions and hyperbole. Quote
And You Know How It Is? Posted June 3, 2014 Posted June 3, 2014 Maybe not the best, but pretty darn good! Quote
Ddladner Posted June 5, 2014 Posted June 5, 2014 Jonesy in the second photo One of my favorites... Quote
SteveAJones Posted June 6, 2014 Posted June 6, 2014 A nomination for "Best Offstage Led Zeppelin Photo" This photo appeared on the cover of their 1969 North American tour program. Quote
