Items 71-74 might be of particular interest to this forum but some of the other items are fascinating, as well, albeit pricey.

I always thought the white jacket was an earlier version of the poppy or dragon jacket.

I wonder how Chris Farlowe came to own it (edited to add, the catalogue says he got it from a roadie.)

Preston photographs are the best but I wonder which other two are part of the group.

Chris may well have gotten it from a roadie, as the catalog apparently states, but I can easily imagine Jimmy giving it to him somewhere along the way. They had of course recorded together in the mid-'60s. In the late '60s Jimmy used to acquire Civil War memorabilia from Chris, who was an enthusiastic collector. Certainly their most well known connection is the Outrider album and tour.

i used to work in the gallery for Sothebys, by chance we house the RnR section, i played a guitar used by George Harrsion! it didnt sell though

That's v. cool!

I just watched an American cable documentary about him, "Living in the Material World" directed by Martin Scorsese. He was always my favorite Beatle and made more so by the movie. I wish Scorsese was a Zeppelin fan -would love to see what he would do with a documentary about them.

p.s. A poster ($3,125) and the white jacket ($12,000) sold.

Interesting and slightly odd about the Civil War memorabilia. I wonder if he ever visited Antietam.
