Here are mine, all about Zeppelin lyrics! No offence meant to the greatest band on earth! Just a bit of fun! Special apology about Royal Orleans! We love you Bonzo!

Kashmir :”To sit with elders of the gentle race!”

”To sit with elders of degenerates!!” or perhaps: ”To sit with Elvis of the gentle race!!”

Immigrant I heard:” Fight the hord, sing and cry!; We will drive our ships to new lands!”

”Fight the whore sing and cry,…!!” and also: ” We will drown our ships to new lands!!”

Babe I’m gonna leave you: ”I ain’t joking woman, I got to ramble!”

”I ain’t joking woman, I’m god to Rambo!!”

lemon song: ”I should have listened baby, to my second mind!”

” I should have listened baby, to my second man!!”

Thank you:” Kind woman I give you my all, kind woman, nothing more!”

”Kind of a woman I give you my all, kind of a woman nothing more!!”

Heartbreaker: ”Hey fellows have you heard the news, our Annie is back in town! People talking all around how you left me flat!”

”Hey faggots have you heard the news, our Anus is back in town!” and ”People talking all around how you left my flat!!”

Since I’ve been loving you:”Yes I love you baby, how I love you baby, mama love you, little girl!” and ”You had the nerve to tell me, you didn’t want me no more!!”

”Yes I love you baby, how I love you baby, your marmalade, little girl!” and ”You made a nerd to tell me, you didn’t want me no more!!”

That’s the way: ” I don’t know how I’m gonna do what mama told me, my friend the boy next door!”

” I don’t know how I’m gonna cook what mama told me, my friend the boy eats stu!”

Going to California: ”Ride a white mare in the footsteps of dawn!!”

”Ride a white man in the footsteps of dawn!!”

rain song: ”On us all just a little rain must fall!!”

”On us all just a little train must fall!!”

In my time of dying:”Oh my Jesus, oh my Jesus!”

”A my teeth ache, a my teeth ache!!”

In the light: ”Baby let me share your load!”

”Baby let me pay your loan!”

Black country woman: ”Y’ didn’t have to tell me you’d be my blushin’ bride”

”you didn’t have buy me Quick’n Brite!!”

Sick again: ”The fun of comin’ oh the pain in leavin’ ”

”A lot of cuming on the plane that’s leaving!!”

Achilles last stand: ”Oh Albion remains, sleeping now to rise again!”

”Old Albin remains, sleeping now to rise in pain!”

For your life: ”To fame it deals a losin’ hand”

”Baby tears are loosing names!”

Royal Orleans: ”A man I know went down to Louisiana
Had himself a bad, bad fight-a
And when the sun peeks through,
John Cameron will see Santa
and kiss the whiskers left and right, whiskers”

”A man I know, we gonna loose him, had himself a bad, bad fight And when the sun peeked through John Bonham he drank brandy, and became dead at night!”

Candy store rock: ”Oh, baby, baby, you know that I wanted more
Oh, baby, baby, I’m about to kiss goodbye to this store
Oh, baby, baby, ain’t the wrappin’ that sells the goods
Whoa, baby, baby, got a sweet tooth but my mouth is full”

”Oh baby baby, You know that I wanted it more
Oh baby baby, I’m about to be kissed by the whore,
Oh baby baby, It ain’t the wrapping that sells the goods,
Oh baby baby, I got a sweet tooth before your mountains roar!!”

All of my love: ”For many hours and days that pass ever soon”

”For many hours and days that pants dry in the sun!!”

And here is my version of Queens Crazy little thing called love:

Crazy little thing called Bob

This thing called Bob I just can’t handle it
This thing called Bob, his ass so round to eat
It spreads ready
Crazy little thing called Bob

This thing (big thing) called love (called Bob)
He cries like in the navy
with a candle and Sprite
He swings (voodoo)
He slides (into poo)
He shakes all over like a jelly fish
I kindly like it
Crazy little thing called Bob

There goes my shaved dick
He knows how to Suck’n'Drool
he drives me crazy
he gives me hot and cold fever
Then he leaves me in a cocoa sweat

I gotta be schwul, relax, get deep
Get on his max
Take some vaccine
jizz on Mike
And take a long ride on the balls of fire
Until I’m ready
Queery little thing called Bob

Blinding By The Light..."Revved up like a deuce" sounds like he says douche.

Highway To Hell..."Season Ticket on a one way ride" sounds like he says season ni^^er (just being honest; not trying stir anything up)

In case anyone wants to know, "mondegreen" is the term used to refer to misheard lyrics or phrases. Coined by author Sylvia Wright in 1954.

Besides what everyone thinks, in Misty Mountain Hop, Robert does actually sing ..... Hey there Whoopie Cat ......... :hippy:

I heard the same thing when I was a kid hearing "Misty Mountain Hop" for the first time!!! That's why I always smile and giggle inside when I see your screen name, Whoopie...it reminds me of "Misty Mountain Hop". :D

Blinding By The Light..."Revved up like a deuce" sounds like he says douche.

Highway To Hell..."Season Ticket on a one way ride" sounds like he says season ni^^er (just being honest; not trying stir anything up)

The song is "Blinded by the Light", and originally written and performed by Bruce Springsteen on his 1973 album "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J.".

"Cut loose like a deuce" is the correct lyric as Bruce wrote and sang it. When Manfred Mann covered it in 1976, it sounded to most people, including me, like they changed the lyric to "wrapped up like a douche". What the hell, most of us Americans thought at the time, they're English, so they probably have no clue about hot-rods and what the term 'deuce' refers to in car-culture.

But then on the Midnight Special and other live performances, you could faintly hear Chris Thompson sing the word "deuce"...so apparently, it was just slurred vocals or a lisp that caused his "deuce" to sound like "douche" and his "revved" like "wrapped".

Which is a shame. Because purposely singing "wrapped up like a douche" makes for a better and funnier story.

I'll play...

Duran Duran, Skin Trade: The actual lyric is "I know the answer but I'm asking you the question" - I always sang "I know the answer

without asking you the question".

Spandau Ballet, True, actual lyric: "Always slipping from my hands, sand's a time of its own"

Me: "Always slipping from my hands, spending time on the dole"

Yep, definitely always heard 'wrapped up like a douche'!

"Later we'll have some fuckin' pie" @ 0:28

LOL...I never heard that in the lyrics, but pretty sure I will hear it next time I listen to that song!

The Who. Behind Blue Eyes. When I was 11 years old I thought the lyrics were as follows: "No one knows what it's like to be Batman, to be the Sand Man..."

The Yardbirds' version of For Your Love. I was around five years old when it was released. Back then, I thought the lyrics in the chorus were: "I love Valerie" instead of "For Your Love".

Gosh! I am loving this thread so far!

I am going to begin with the Led Zeppelin songs, which I misheard:

Immigrant song - the original lyric was "Our Only Goal, Will Be The Western Shore".

I heard it as "Our Only Goal Will Be To Rest and Shout"

Trampled Underfoot - the original lyric was "Baby Let Me Check Your Points, Fix Your Overdrive".

I heard it as "Baby Let Me Check Your Voice, Fix Your Overdrive". I honestly, for a moment thought that Robert had a day job as an E.N.T specialist! :P

Since I've Been Loving You - the original lyric was "Said I've Been Cryin', Yeah. Oh My Tears, They Fell Like Rain".

I heard it as "Sit Down, I've Been Crying! Woman Dizzy Fell Like Rain!"

Nobody's Fault But Mine - the original lyric was "Trying To Save My Soul Tonight"

I heard it as "Trying To Save My Sordid Life"

Black Dog - the original lyric was "Eyes That Shine, Burning Red"

I heard it as "Rise And Shine, Burning Red" - I even once mumbled, "Good Morning, Robert", while listening to the song!

I also at one point, while listening to "In My Time of Dying", thought I heard Robert saying "Oh My Cheese, Hey!" rather than "Oh My Jesus".

More to come.... :)

there was a thread years ago about In My Time Of dying ..... it was so funny. Everyone started posting alternate lines, one I remember was " Oh my cheetos " ha ha

This is both truly horrible and funny:

I also really misheard Hotel California:

"Living it up at the Hotel California" (should be "Plenty of Room at...")

"Her mind is definitely twisted" ("..Tiffany twisted")

And apparently I've misheard the entire song of Barracuda; I never looked up the lyrics (until just now) but since the 70s, every time I hear it I just sing along with a bunch of random nonsense  I had no idea it was about porpoises!

Led Zepp For your life

"had to pull away to save me"

I heard-"I had Napoleon to save me"

And "Down in the pits you go no lower, The next stop's underground"

I heard "she wanna picture of my bloodwork, next stop's Charlie Brown"

And to be honest I'm not a hundred percent sure that the "correct" lyrics I put are actually correct, I'm really bad with lyrics.

"Weren't to long 'til I found out,

that people need my daddy out."

nearly spat out my coffee, lol
