Paul Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Any speculation on what this will have....recent interview with Page saying there's quite a bit of stuff!...alt. Achilles perhaps?...this one I can't wait for!!!! Quote
ListenToThis Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 Presence is the one I'm waiting for as well. Black Mountain Side, Bring It On Home and Gallows Pole are all well and good, but Achilles and FYL make those songs look silly by comparison. Quote
ledzepfilm Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 The songs are in a different league. You can't compare Achilles to Bring it on Home... they're opposite of one another. The three songs you listed are blues influenced, while ALS and FYL are from an era when Led Zeppelin defined their sound to a more progressive direction. Anyways, Presence should be interesting as we have absolutely no outtakes from it besides fragments, assuming that this "alternate mix" comment that Page made is truly different. Quote
aen27 Posted July 13, 2014 Posted July 13, 2014 I can't wait for everything from the Presance set and Physical Graffetti, from the albums to the books. Quote
ledded1 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I would like to hear ALS deconstructed then recomstructed with all the guitars added one by one until the final cut hits us in the face. Quote
Amstel Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I can't wait for everything from the Presance set and Physical Graffetti, from the albums to the books. The period from Houses Of The Holy, too! That whole era - 72' - 76'! Quote
ledzepfilm Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 (edited) The period from Led Zeppelin IV to ITTOD, too! That whole era - 70' - 79'! FTFY Edited July 14, 2014 by ledzepfilm Quote
aen27 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 The period from Houses Of The Holy, too! That whole era - 72' - 76'! I too wait for HOTH all the way through ITTOD too. 73-79 is my favorite period too. Quote
93ZoSo93 Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I'd like to see alternate cuts and/or fragments of Carouselambra, I loved the progressive direction they were headed towards the end Quote
Charles J. White Posted July 14, 2014 Posted July 14, 2014 I'm pumped about it, I love what was released so far, it gives us a glimpse of the progression of the song, and how the dynamic between the band members worked chemistry wise. Quote
DarkStar1969 Posted July 26, 2014 Posted July 26, 2014 Just (very) curious to see (ehmm...listen) about Tea for One, the most underrated song maybe. Why they didn't played it live? I can find anything unless some very original outtake (short and extremely bluesy) Quote

Cecil. Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 When Presence SDL comes out, I'm hanging a do not disturb on the door and taking a "Rock Day" Quote
Gandolf Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Please be a live concert! By the way, there shouldn't be a whole lot of outtakes, this was only recorded in 2 weeks. (Not looking to crush anyone's hopes though). Quote
cosmic_juice Posted July 27, 2014 Posted July 27, 2014 Please be a live concert! By the way, there shouldn't be a whole lot of outtakes, this was only recorded in 2 weeks. (Not looking to crush anyone's hopes though). JP in an interview has said no live material...which sucks... but lets hope scavenging the vaults will produce some furure releases... Quote
Walter Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 By the way, there shouldn't be a whole lot of outtakes, this was only recorded in 2 weeks. (Not looking to crush anyone's hopes though). Jimmy said in an interview he found tape from the Presence sessions that he didn't remember having. It was in storage, in a box. So that's promising at least. Quote
Walter Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 If I remember correctly he referred to the tape as an alternate version of Presence. Quote
ZEPKID Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 They didn't Play it (Tea For One) live because it's essentially the same song as Since I've Been Loving You. And Since I've Been Loving You is much more popular and had a much better solo that would be more exciting live that's what they went with it. And they played Since I've Been Loving You every tour since the third album and even before. So there was no room for Tea-For-One Quote
Walter Posted July 31, 2014 Posted July 31, 2014 Robert has remarked a number of times that Since I've Been Loving You has always been a special song for the band to play. Tea For One, given the circumstances of when it was recorded and the lyrics penned for it, probably didn't give them the same feeling. Quote
