grasbo
Ok I have searched the forum and I can't find much on Zeps Japanese Pressings (vinyl) of the 70s.I had the first three lps. Each came with that sleeve sash with japanese writing,an insert with lyrics and a 'history' in japanese, and a poster which opened 3x2.Zep 1 and 2 were black with Led Zeppelin written in white at the top and a silhouette of the band on stage at the bottom in pink and green respectively. Three was white with the back photo montage and front cover Led Zeppelin 3 writing.Like a lot of things from my past I don't have them today. My question is does anyone have from lV onwards and what extras did they have. Also do the cd replicas have these? SteveAJones
If you enter "Led Zeppelin Japanese Album" in the search box at www.ebay.com you'll see many of them listed.
Pb!
Only the first three came with the huge posters - they are reissues from around 1975-6. All the other regular issues included lyric sheets but no other extras. I have heard people mention copies of Physical Graffiti included a poster but may just be referring to the cardboard foldout insert. There is a promo notepad (with a bag) for ITTOD but I don't know the details regarding its release. EDIT: Check out Luke the Duke's site: http://www.vjez.com/zep/default.asp?pagina=jap33 for an overview. Also, check out Discogs: http://www.discogs.com/artist/34278-Led-Zeppelin
Cecil.
It must be a 1980's edition, but I have TSRTS with picture/lyrics sheet P5544-5N and copy of Presence which I cannot find for the life of me, but that still has the band on it. With a sheet of past albums by the band.
Pb!
If it still has the paper band (i.e. 'obi'), you should be able to date it because it willhave the price on it - this is the symbol for Yen: ¥ - the price should be ¥1500-2500; the higher the price the more recent the issue.
