Patrycja
So this was one of my favourite interviews of the many in kind that Robert’s been doing, because the line of discussion – Arthur, love of poetry, William Blake, Pre-Raphaelites (William Morris’s beautiful poem “Love Is Enough” is woven into the lyrics of “Rainbow” – that kaleidoscope he keeps referring to is one of sound and words), a T.H. White reference, and, saving the best for last, a glimpse behind the armour in mentioning Derfel, bless him – speaks my language here. It touches on the heart of the matter, you could say. You can tell that Stephen Colbert is a genuine fan, but kept in character, and that Robert’s got a yarn for any occasion, but they had to stick to the script so what we got was brief, funny, and insightful followed by a good tune. Leave ‘em wanting more. As it should be.
