Pb!
I am surprised how many people think this bootleg release is legitimate; here is a current Ebay auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/LED-ZEPPELIN-BBC-TRANSCRIPTION-DBL-LP-STOKE-1973-INSERT-NEAR-MINT-/191415495459?pt=UK_Records&hash=item2c9140ab23 Of course, it is two loonies fighting out but their feedback numbers show they ought to know better. There are also arguments on Discogs about this, with the people arguing that it's 'official' obviously being sellers wanting to maintain the inflated values. I was wondering if anyone here knows more about the origin of this. I have not seen itmentioned in any guidebook and always assumed it was released in the mid to late 90's. ? ledded1
It wasn't recorded by the BBC to my knowledge. There are several different titles for this show out there but I haven't seen this label being used before. But there may be others here who know more than I do. What I do know is that I was at the show.
reswati
I have this one, bootleg for sure (sound is way too bassy, matrix number is weird). Just saw what they are selling it for....this is beyond imbecilic, I bought my copy 12 years ago for 30 euro. The Only Way To Fly
There's no way this things gonna sell for that much (good luck if it does). But I'm seeing the seller being able to make a second chance offer.
Strider
Yes it is fake. Yes the price is too high. Typical ebay nonsense.
Pb!
I bought my copy 12 years ago for 30 euro. That is right about the time and price I got my copy, from a seller in Italy whose Ebay store had nothing but new bootlegs.
Robot Planet
I bought my copy for £25 from a record fair in Stoke-on-Trent in 1990, but I keep seeing it listed as 1999?
Zep Hed
Was very excited when I found the 2LP set many years back. The only indication I can recall that this was something unique and not in the collectors guides was the "1973" on the labels. Wow I had one not even Robert Godwin knew about!
