chef free
I finally replaced the bad Trex on my back deck and I am going to buy a hot tub. But there are so many choices! Who has a hot tub or any advice? I'm wondering: Is a 220v system really much cheaper to run? Are some brands a lot better than others? Any strong opinions about plastic vs, wood? What do I need to know to make a smart purchase?
mack
Hi chef Have had a DreamMaker for a little over 9 years. Four person capacity, 12 jets. This manufacturer is pretty much plug and go, but we did have it put on a separate circuit breaker. Highly recommended by the Arthritis Foundation, and never a bit of problem. We use it quite a lot. LIVIN
Since you asked for advice. Had a spa years ago and it was sort of like having an expensive bathtub that you have to spend $$$ to maintain and operate; costs more than I ever used it. Yeah, liked it at first then really hated it. It took 4 guys and a crane to deliver it and set it up. Five years later it took one guy (me) with a crowbar, sledge hammmer, sawzall and wheelbarrow to take it out in chunks. Now I'm enjoying my potted veggie garden where the spa used to be.
