Pagefan55
Hi Anniemouse. I would suggest that you read a book or two about Zeppelin to learn more about the band's history. The '77 tour did indeed have issues.
MightyLedZeppelin
Take a look at some of the 77 Tour threads on the live section of the forum. You'll find a ton of interesting things about the whole tour both on and off the stage.
kingzoso
I keep hearing that the 1977 tour had issues. Just how bad did things get.The 1977 Led Zeppelin tour of America definitely had issues and ups and downs, however, in did yield one fact that landed Led Zeppelin in the "Guinness Book of World Records". At that time this was the largest audience for a single act in the History of Mankind.Led Zeppelin performed for 76,229 people at the Silverdome on April 30, 1977 in Pontiac, Michigan. Sue Dounim
Jimmy's habits were getting in the way and the scene backstage was growing much darker thanks to certain people hired on that tour, along with even rowdier crowds.
anniemouse
The reason I asked was that I gather many on the forum attended shows on that tour . Thanks again for answering.
raytuned
Insane issues, bad luck and a big mistake by Peter Grant to go hire John Bindon as head of security, all sent the tour in to a vortex, so sad ,for zep fans but the naysayers and distractors let them laugh, zep can hold their heads high and proud of it!!
