FunkyPhantom Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 No Rain is one of my absolute favorite (non-Zeppelin) songs. I'd like to think Shannon's vocal style was a precursor to Jack White as well. Quote
The Only Way To Fly Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 LOVE BM! They covered Out On The Tiles & it rocks. I remember hearing the news about his passing & remember exactly where I was (in the car listening to the news). We lost a lot of great ppl in the 90's Shannon being one of them as well as Jeff Buckley. Such a shame about both of them. Quote
Northstar Posted January 20, 2015 Posted January 20, 2015 Yeah I liked Blind Melon alot also. I think shannon had a real great voice, to bad he had to leave so young. I think if I remember correctly Shannon was backing up Axle on a lot of Guns and Roses tracks. Quote
geekfreak Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 yes he was helping out Axl Roses on the early Guns songs. as its written in the book by Greg Prato... Quote
geekfreak Posted January 20, 2015 Author Posted January 20, 2015 why oh why whenever you`d like to find a photo of Shannon as you`d like to get him tattooed on you you just cannot find a bloody cool one, add to this one of Layne of AIC. you see why I`m ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!..
