Led Zeppelin’s album reissue series continues to produce chart success. Its latest batch of reissues, for the albums Presence, In Through the Out Door and Coda, are all heading for a possible return to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 next week (on the chart dated Aug. 22). The three albums were originally released in 1976, 1979 and 1982, respectively. Presence and In Through the Out Door both reached No. 1, while Coda peaked at No. 6. The trio of albums -- reissued on July 31 through Swan Song/Atlantic Records -- could each move around 25,000 equivalent album units in the week ending Aug. 6. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week based on multi-metric consumption, which includes traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The top 10 of the Aug. 22-dated Billboard 200 chart is scheduled to be revealed on Billboard’s website on Sunday, Aug. 9. The three reissued and remastered Led Zeppelin albums bring the rock band’s reissue series to a close. In total, all nine of the group’s studio albums were reissued with bonus material, beginning on June 3, 2014 with Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II and Led Zeppelin III. Then, Led Zeppelin IV and Houses of the Holy arrived on Oct. 28, 2014. Physical Graffiti followed on Feb. 24, 2015. The first four reissues all reentered the top 10 of the Billboard 200, with the band’s self-titled debut reaching a new peak: No. 7 (after topping out at No. 10 back in 1969). Thanks to the reissue campaign, Led Zeppelin sold 946,000 total albums in the U.S. in 2014 (that includes the reissues plus the rest of their catalog) -- up 58 percent compared to the 599,000 they sold in 2013. In 2015 so far, the band’s albums have sold 466,000. http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/chart-beat/6656593/led-zeppelin-top-10-return-billboard-
