HELP WITH HOW MANY MORE TIMES LIVE DANMARKS SOLO

Recommended Posts

Just to prepare you,, to get those 2 parts note for note, Page is actually playing some at least moderately

difficult and unorthodox notes. Someone may have it tabbed out(luckily), but I have seen incorrect

tabs for the Heartbreaker solo in official songbooks. If no one comes forth,ow and you tend to have difficulties

with especially fast solos, consider getting a Tascam phrase trainer. They are about $80 and they can

slow down the solo a lot. Not a bad version to pick, as in some other versions Page really goes bananas

and figuring out those are pretty difficult.

Lick 12 is certainly a good start, as part of the Denmark solo is almost (actually ) identical. Unfortunately

the devil is in the details and Page also mixes in some rather strange(brilliant)lower string licks which

completely throw your ear off. It's entirely possible if you search YouTube you might find someone

demonstrating the lower licks as well. The video Rat provided is very good, it's just that combining the

licks in a natural manner can be tricky. And the timing and bends are very good in the video, that is vital.

That was the lick I was talking about, and what about the one before it where he looks to be on the b or g string and and just hitting what looks like three notes then jumping down a scale or whatever and then keeps going up an down the neck? Was also wondering about the part in the live, not danmarks version of communication breakdown, where plant goes out on the word "insane" and the band stops and page flips the les paul into rhythm and starts playing what sound like power chord formations of some sort. And thanks for that video ive been wanting to learn every lick in there for a long time and never came across that video. Please make more!

the part in communication breakdown is also in the video. it is comprised of both lick #1 and #5. however in between he plays a variation of this one starting at around 1:25 only he is playing off the 12th fret rather than the 17th

I assume you mean royal albert hall? if so its the same chords as the song he is just playing a different rhythm. the demark one sounds a lot different because of the wah but he is playing the same thing.

Ive been able to figure out a good portion of the how many more times danmarks solo, but am having trouble figuring whats going on when the two separate times he is using the same formation but flying up and down the neck.

Maybe you ll find out what exactly he's doing if you listen to / watch the video of the gig in slow motion.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k-WSbMW7BPc on settings you actually can slow the video down to 1/4 of it's actual velocity
