chillumpuffer
Just read that Motorheads original drummer Phil Taylor has passed on. I saw Phil bashing away on many occasions. Free Trade Hall in Manchester in 1978 &1979.Apollo theatre on the Ace Of Spades and the Bomber tours. 61 years of age. I guess years of sulphate and booze caught up with him. Mithril46
Taylor was great, and with Lemmy now in teetering health, this band remains critically underratedparticularly in the U.S.. Some of the albums may be spotty but live they are simply a steamroller, ableto retain punk energy and have enough musical variation for hour to 1 and 1/2 hour sets, quite a featin their "genre" , if there ever was one. JohnOsbourne
No question, the classic lineup was extremely underrated. RIP.
