Jahfin
I never did buy this (and am not sure I ever will) but I do remember when it came out, a complete album of nothing but Stairway covers: 1. Stairway to Heaven - Kate Ceberano And The Ministry Of Fun 2. Stairway to Heaven - John Paul Young 3. Stairway to Heaven - Pardon Me Boy 4. Stairway to Heaven - Rolf Harris 5. Stairway to Heaven - The Austrailian Doors Show 6. Stairway to Heaven - Sandra Hahn And Michael Turkic 7. Stairway to Heaven - Robyne Dunn 8. Stairway to Heaven - Neil Pepper (Elvis) 9. Stairway to Heaven - The Rock Lobsters 10. Stairway to Heaven - The Beatnix 11. Stairway to Heaven - Vegimite Reggae 12. Stairway to Heaven - Leonard Teal
The Rover
Remember Second City TV ? ? ? Rock Moranis does a polka version of STH. There was also a wonderful commercial as part of that bit, a "Starways To Heaven" commcerical, with different SCTV created "bands" performing STH.... Too bad, that due to publishing rights issues... you'll not see this on the SCTV DVDs that came out a few years ago....

Lady Goodman
All of these are so great! Stairway to Heaven - The Rock Lobsters 10. Stairway to Heaven - The Beatnix 11. Stairway to Heaven - Vegimite Reggae 12. Stairway to Heaven - Leonard Teal Andrew Denton did a great interview with Page and Plant where he played for them some of these Stairway Tributes. OMG, it's so funny. I like the pirates. At the end of the show Page and Plant in reply, play their version of Rolf Harris' song Sun Arise. Remember Second City TV ? ? ? Rock Moranis does a polka version of STH. There was also a wonderful commercial as part of that bit, a "Starways To Heaven" commcerical, with different SCTV created "bands" performing STH.... Schmenge Brothers: Linsk Minyk at 5:25 SCTV Stairways To Heaven My favorite: America's favorite copy cat, Rich Little. Singing it as only he can, so close to the original, it's scary. - Then they use Robert's actual voice.
Soccerzubs
nah, the best is Richard Cheese's version. I only really enjoyed the part where he said "purchasing" instead of "buying the Stairawy to Heaven"

Evermore
As a parody Richard Cheese's is my favorite. The Beatnix was actually just good. The resemblance of Paul and John is uncanny. Thanks for those everyone!

I totally aree with him I'm not sure I totally understand but I do know Dolly wanted to add/alter a few lines in the song and she got approval from Page & Plant prior to recording her version. In fact, I believe they said they liked the new lyrics better.

LukeTheDuke
Dread Zeppelin: totally different and reggae style!! I love it (as a song not as a cover ...) and I can't forget the one from the mighty Frank Zappa (probably the best cover ever, also on CD single!)
