Fantastic series, just waiting for new episodes.

I agree.  However, I have been watching it on dvd as I don't have Showtime.  As of this very moment, I have the last episode of season 3 to watch.  Since I don't have Showtime, I don't even know when season 4 begins or if it has already started.  That means I will have to wait however long until season 4 comes out on dvd.

Liked the first couple seasons but don't watch it religiously anymore. I think Liev Schreiber is fantastic, though. I see them film around town a lot.

I always liked Liev Schreiber as an actor but I like him even more now because of Ray Donovan.  That's very cool to see them film around Los Angeles.  I don't know about you, but I see a lot of similarity in Ray Donovan and Tony Soprano.  It would not surprise me in the least if the creator of Ray Donovan said she got some inspiration from David Chase, the creator of the Sopranos.

I love Liev Schreiber.  I hated Ray Donovan.  We got to the third to last episode of season one and had to quit.  I couldn't stand his family.

If they've somehow miraculously been killed, I may watch again

Yes, love the show, great acting and yes, his family (not his brothers & father) are annoying as fuck, however a shout out goes to the woman who plays his wife as she also played Trixie in Deadwood. There are indeed similarities between RD & Sopranos however I don't feel the Ray Donovan character is a sociopath whereas I do believe Tony Soprano was. I just re-watched the whole Soprano series and with time and a fresh perspective, I fucking hated Tony Soprano and embraced the final scene as him getting his fat, shitty pumpkin head splattered all over the table. Ray Donovan seems a more tragic and complex character compared to TS who was just a downright evil fuck.

BTW, I always found it hard to believe that women would be throwing themselves at Tony Soprano with the zeal and frequency they did. The dude was a balding, fat, shithead. Ray Donovan on the other hand is believable yet he has less sex in an entire season than fat Tony had in one episode.

I am not going to say that you are wrong about Tony Soprano because that is your opinion, but I happened to love Tony Soprano as a character.  I will admit that he was a sociopath and did vile and evil things, but he did indeed love his "family" (both of them) even though he cheated on Carmela dozens and dozens of times.  I think that the reason women threw themselves at Tony was because of his position as head of the family and because he projected a certain air of confidence and a "captain of industry" type persona.

Ray on the other hand also loves his family even though he cheats on Abby a few times.  Abby is not so innocent either.  Raymond is a Hollywood "fixer" or "cleaner" and is very, very good at his job.  He is also a killer and does what he believes is the right thing to do.  As someone on the show said (Mr. Finney), Ray Donovan is a "very capable man".

I am glad that one of my co-workers turned me on to this show about one month ago.

Thanks Lance...

Not sure when that will be either. We don't have Showtime either, so we have to rely on free binge-a-thon weekends to get caught up, when they have them.
