I hope he gets one.  Stupid letting them score.  That makes it a tie in the goal diff vs Belgium.  Would like to see another goal or two.  Hopefully by Jamie.

More noise in the stands for one goal for Panama than 6 for England.  I am  a bit shocked that Panama could put more fans in the stands in Russia than England?  I mean, they have to cross an Ocean and spend a ton of money.  Not that its cheap for a Brit to go there either but Panama is much farther.

First touch by Jamie Vardy.  Come on.  You get him the ball in the box and its going to be lights out for these already fried fish that are Panama

Hate to put any negative on a 6-1 thrashing, but if they had not let in that goal by Panama, they would have had a  1 goal lead over Belgium. I do not know what unfolds if they tie Belgium in a game both sides will be more concerned about avoiding injury than anything.  But its a sweet win nonetheless.  Go England!!!!!!!

A few reasons: It is very expensive to stay 3 weeks in Russia. Our games in the group stages are miles apart from each other and the cost of hotels and travelling is not cheap. The Political aspect ( Putin and the poisoning of those 2 Russians a while back), the press over here warning of carnage for England fans by their Russian counterparts. There is history of trouble between the two sets of fans as highlighted in France in the last Euros. The Russian locals would cheer for anyone but England. The notion that we would be shit and be knocked out before the next stage. Maybe see more England supporters as the tourney progresses

I would expect to due to the success, but Russia is moving on also.  So that could lead to  heated confrontation if they were to ever meet.  It cannot happen in the second leg, knockout round though.  I would be surprised if Russians got out of hand in an event of this magnitude.  It would give them a black eye for future events such as Olympics

We all might get fried on that Argentina pick.  Nigeria has a huge shot of beating them based on what I have seen

Argentina are the reason why the phrase is " one man doesn't make a team". Messi? Finished.

We, as a nation, have a loathing for Maradona, Nothing would give me greater pleasure than seeing the Argies fuck off and take that cheating fat twat with them. In fact I couldn't give flying fuck if we get knocked out as long as that miserable, fat cheat goes home early

Yeah I will never understand that 'hand of God "play.  How do you not call a hand ball?  I am not worried about Argentina in the least.  That late goal by Japan cost me huge.  I would have won at least $150 if not for that shit.  I do not have any idea why I put those idiots on my parlay.  I did cash some small ones.  I am going with Germany, Spain, Croatia and a couple other games for fun tomorrow.  Maybe a draw in the Russia game and Russia once with Egypt and Portugal.  Love Swiss to win their game.  When England get to the second round with Belgium, they will play the top two teams in what I deem the worst division.  Group H plays group G.  So its likely Columbia who to me is the only dangerous team in there, and either Japan or Senegal as a long shot.  If I were Belgium or England I would rather play whoever comes out between Japan or Senegal.  Columbia are dangerous but I do not think good enough to beat either Belgium or England.  I am hoping England wipes the Japs off the planet if its them.

This could be the most favorable matchup for England in the first stage of the elimination round in many World Cups.  Columbia is no joke.  But the other 3 are.  I believe Belgium or England would put an ass whipping of epic proportions on any of those teams but Columbia.  But they should beat Columbia, but no lock.  Japan only beat them because in the third minute or so they got a gift on a silver platter.  A PK and a red card on the same play forcing Colombia not only to be behind 1-0 so early, but to play 87 minutes a man down.  The Japs are dirty.  But pesky and they play very hard unlike Senegal who are a long ball strike team.  With a 2-1 lead and 12 minutes left they shoved it firmly up my ass.

I like England's chances.  They did not have to break a sweat today. Belgium is very good too.  But they are both going to get a team they should beat in the first knockout game.  I would rather miss Columbia though.  As for Argentina, I really think Nigeria have a huge shot of knocking them out. They can outrun them for sure.  They just have to be smart about it. Spain and Germany play inferior opponents and should roll into the 16.  There will be some real tough battles Saturday and Sunday once the first round ends. I am hoping Belgium has to play Columbia and England gets to beat up on the Japs.

All of my parlays including the early action are good.  I had Peru and I had the draw option and also took Denmark plus 1.  In the 2 pm action I am taking a shot with Nigeria at a pick and great big juicy odds and also plus 1 1/2.  Took Croatia for sure.  I cannot see Iceland beating them.

The late games not good so far. Croatia is not playing well.  Nigeria even worse.  Terrible defense on a long ball to Messi.  Never should have allowed that shit bag to score. Now Nigeria must score.   I feel Croatia should get one and beat Iceland.  Some real big games later this week though.  Imagine Mexico vs either Brazil or Switzerland or Germany vs Brazil or the Swiss.  Any of them are toss ups.  I am not sure if Spain or Portugal won the group yet?  Tied on pts and goal differential. So I am not sure who wins it?   The winner gets Russia and second place Uruguay, a far tougher task.  Assuming Columbia beats Senegal I would rather England gets Japan than Columbia for sure.  But beating Belgium wont be easy.

That's Football for yer….

Stupid bastards.  Acted like dead men walking the whole game.  They were in better physical shape than Argentina but had less than half their brains.  I do not see Argentina going deep at all.  But France and Denmark are not exactly great.  So they could possibly get past that round.  The one after that, its tough.  It looks like France and then either Uruguay or Portugal.  But they are lucky its not Germany or Mexico or England or Belgium.  They dodged those teams.  Its like the people that set this up like Argentina.  Germany and Brazil might meet early?  England will have a nice warm up vs a tough Belgium team.  Then likely will have to play either Japan (I hope) or Columbia.  Both a step down from Belgium.  But Columbia puts more fear in me than Japan.  I do not care for Argentina or Portugal but if they meet it will be  huge because its Messie vs Ronaldo.   I would really like to see Mexico vs Brazil or Switzerland.  I believe the Swiss and Mexicans are both dangerous and we know England are.

Well if Columbia win I can get 14 out of a possible 16 on the contest.   For first round.  The second round will be very very tough

I guess tomorrow England find out how good they are?  It should be tough but I am not sure how hard both teams will go since they are already going on and maybe rest some starters?  I know they would both want to win the group but there is no certainty who they will play in either position and the other group they will play is not that good.

Iceland and Germany out. That leaves me out.

Flopping. Poor refereeing (I've seen at least two handballs ignored by the officials...Argentina must be licking their chops). Women being sexually harrassed by the Russian hooligans. I'm done with this World Cup.

England is the only team left that I have a rooting interest in and will get me to watch a match or two.

Argentina and that slob Maradona are a pox...I'm sick of tv showing the fat toad every other minute during Argentina's matches. I hope they are bounced the first opportunity in the knock-out phase. But they definitely got an easier side of the draw than Brazil.

Brazil vs. Mexico is going to be a bloodbath...on and off the field. Those countries hate other.

Let's see how England looks against a real team today. Belgium is a much more real test than Panama and...well, I've already forgotten who the Lions played in their opening match.

My last reason for my WC antipathy is the fact that it is being held in Russia. Putin is reverting Russia to its old evil, thuggish ways. Fuck him and his horse.

Yeah I’ll still be watching when I can - especially the Mexico/Brazil match. Plus Portugal. But I get what you’re saying especially at the end of your post. That’s why when JTM initially chose them to win it all, I thought now that actually could happen or people might be mysteriously offed if it doesn’t.

I think Russia are toast in game vs Spain.  Melba.  I also think England and Belgium will advance easily.  That Mexico vs Brazil game is very very interesting.  I am cheering for Mexico in that one.  And I do not think this Brazil team is as mighty as some of the past teams.  But its still a tough one.  I would just forget that Sweden game.  I mean, Sweden can look at their other games and they were pure shit. I think Denmark has a shot vs Croatia.  Some of these are bound to go to PK's.  I am just hoping England ends the drought and brings it home.  1966..   Oh, and I have to say I am not impressed with France. I do not get it why some think they have a shot?  I think Argentina can take them out.  As for that Portugal game, I say its a toss up.  There are at least 4 here that are possible PK deciding match's.  New Bracket below

Sooooo smart of England to keep Kane out today and not use the starting unit.  It was a "good loss".  Now they are on the weaker side of the bracket.  They will not have to beat teams like Brazil, Mexico, France or Argentina or Belgium until the championship game.  And I believe they will be there.  To me the only team on their side that strikes any fear in me is Spain.  They should take care of the winner of Sweden and the Swiss, and I think it will be the Swiss.  Love England's chances to win this

First knockout tomorrow am.  I have to see France prove it to me they belong here.  I picked Argentina on a parlay or two to knock them out. Not that I think Argentina are good, but France to me are over rated.  We shall see.  I have no clue who will win that Uruguay and Portugal game.  To me its a toss up. Lalas, the ex American player who does the World Cup commentary along with others, picks Uruguay.  He also picks Mexico.  But one of his other arm chair commentators strongly disagrees and I understand why.  But I know Mexico are better than that Sweden game. And even playing second stringers and "possum" the English gave Belgium all they could handle.  I wonder if the strider who I cant remember his name would have done things differently on that breakaway he had in the second half?  I thought it was going to be an England goal. But still, no Harry Kane and Vardy was never set up to show his brilliance.  I hope Kane and Vardy can both be out there together at some point.

PS,  I think I'll SMOKE ME SOME LUMBO NEXT TUESDAY!!!  LOL

England did what they had to do and, to boot give an opportunity for a DVD to be made to cure Insomnia. It's all mind games. Southgate said right from the off that they wanted to win the game. Bollocks. He wouldn't have sent out a quite poor England side with a Captain with a name so ever ironic. Stand up My Dier. He was terrible. In fact the whole team were terrible. Slow meandering shite. Glad I recorded it. And like a crap Porn movie, you forward on to the best bit only to realise it's shite and turn over and watch " How Coldplay became big" instead.

As usual I don't understand a word that Mr Bet Fred says. " A parlay or two to knock them out" WTF does that mean? Do you mean striker? Or the man from L.A.?

Argentina no chance against France. One man Messi doesn't make a team.

Uruguay v Portugal. Tough one. One man Ronaldo dosen't make a team.

Tough match against the Coke producers for us. But I think we will cross the "line" and get a "sniff" of a goal or two.

And yet again Mr Bet Fred, get over your adulation of Vardy. He is average at best and he only came to fame when Leicester proved that miracles do happen. And apparently he can expertly extract 16 segments from a Valencia late. How many people can do that?

And finally. Can you explain in your best English, what does " I'll smoke some lumbo next Tuesday" mean?

Next up: Jamie Vardy will be showing how he really can get 16 segments from an Orange

Of course, I am speechless about our epic German losers but at least - it's impossible to break the curse: :wizard:

But when I return to Germany next saturday, all the 24-7 parties are gone and there'll be no noisy midnight car parades anymore - the city will be a quieter one. I love good news. :bubble:

Why  don't you get off Vardy and stop your nonsense.  And it was not as bad as you say.  They had chances, but I argue based on the lineup changes and the facts right in front of us, they did not want this game.  They wanted to be on the right side of that bracket and that gives them a far better chance of getting to the title game.  And I say they will get it done.  Smoking Lumbo?  And old term here for pot smokers and I meant, we are going to "smoke" or beat the hell out of Columbia.  Be it Kane and or Vardy and Sterling and co., they will win.GOT IT?

This Erikson the ex England coach is 70 and is spouting off that England would have been better off on the other end of the bracket.  In total disagreement with the rest of the world.  I say bullshit.  He thinks Sweden will be far tougher than Brazil.  Well, first of all, Mexico and Switzerland might have something to say about that old man.  In fact, Ill take the Swiss to beat Sweden.  If not, this England team will.  He does say England will beat Columbia and will not need extra time to do it. Agree.  I do not think that the one win by Sweden over Mexico is something they can do consistently.   They lost to Germany late when they had the lead, and we know what problems the Germans have.  Switzerland did not play that well in their final game but they were already going on.  They scare me more than Sweden.  I know those of you that took the Swedes disagree.  I would not rather play Brazil or Mexico.  No way.  And I would prefer the Denmark and Croatia winner also over having to play Uruguay if they happen to beat Portugal.  Go England!!!  I do think Rashford should play and will.  Sterling will likely play also and even Vardy if things go well to keep fresh legs out there.  MacGuire has been very good.  Go England!!! Kick ass!!!
