 Don't talk bollocks man.:D Nou Camp 99 was far better (and you know it). Fair game man the Miracle in Istanbul was pretty special.

I had a butchers this morning at the penalty. Tenuous to say the least. Hey I'm not complaining. About time us English had a bit of luck on the penalty front. As I type Xolo1974 has posted. Not read it yet but chances are it won't be favourable towards us woollybacks?

Wellllll, Nou Camp 99 hmmm yeah a good one....

Ajax : Tottenham and  Barca : Liverpool make 4 fantastic semi-finals and we will see a great finale in Champions League

City spent more than 1 Billion last year but you can't buy the Champions League title. HA! The competition is too strong.
I bet City's Sheikh is not amused :hysterical:

Somebody please explain how this damn premier league works?  All of a sudden, Manchester City is no longer the monster they were all year.  All of a sudden bad teams are winning.  All of a sudden there is no scoring.  All of a sudden nothing makes any sense?  Is it settled?  Are the best players being benched?  Is there  aa playoff?  Or is this all that Euro league crap?

The best players are only benched if they are injured or out of form. There is nothing out of the ordinary going on in the premiership, teams win, teams lose, that's footie. There is not nor will there ever be a playoff, the team with the most points and/or the best goal difference will be the team that wins the premiership (if two teams finish on the same number of points). As for the Euro League, that is far from crap. I get that you think "nothing makes sense" I still don't get American Football and I've been trying to since the early eighties when Super Bowl was first broadcast, I've tried following the weekly NFL highlights show but it's akin to watching a film in a foreign language I just can't fully grasp it so I've given up.

We have so many teams that make the playoffs.  So having the best record does not assure you of the title. The Premier League season seems endless.  How is anyone going to catch Manchester City anyway?  Are they not in front? Or is it Liverpool?  I do not get how Wolves could not even beat Brighton today.  Cant count on any of those teams except Manchester City.  Tottenham is good and so is Liver Pool and Arsenal.  Everton is up and down.  Leicester is up and down. I guess its MC, Liverpool, MU, Arsenal if you were to rate them?  What says you?

Liverpool are the only team that can catch Man City providing City don't win all of their remaining four Premier League games, the only slip up City might make is in their next game against Man Utd, I can't see them dropping any points in their other three remaining games. As for Liverpool they too have four Premier League games left to play, four games that they are favourite to win. If City draw or loose against Utd that will give Liverpool the advantage, overall though Liverpool have more games left to play because they are still champions league (Euro) contenders. Personally I want Liverpool to win the Prem so next Wednesday I shall be routing for Utd to at least draw, preferably win against City, if that happens Liverpool will be favourites to be Champions.

Yep, good though that Cardiff got beaten by Liverpool. Now for Wednesday, it's crucial for Liverpool that Utd don't lose to City.

City should blow them out . That game earlier in the year when Manchester City rallied to beat Liverpool was fabulous.

Well I never??? You have no chance of United even scoring against City. We have been pretty shit the last few weeks and the thought of the title going down the M62, United may as well play with 9 men.

You're old enough to remember Denis Law's back heel that set United down in the 70's?

I remember Utd being relegated (73/74 season?) but not Law's back heel.  Anyway, I get it that many Utd fans would rather see them lose against City, anything to prevent Liverpool having any chance of winning the Prem, arch rivals and all that.  [and] Yes Utd have been shit last few game or so, ever since Ollie got the managerial contract, baffling really since they were doing so well after  JM got his contract terminated.

Edit. Hang on, the old memory banks hadn't fired up. I can recall that now, wasn't Law  heartbroken in scoring that goal against his old team, but were they already going down anyway..

Nah, no it wasn't. City were nobodies until they became Qatar FC. Everything they have won last few seasons they've bought. They are so great they can't even sell out a home game, even their home ground, the rented Etihad Stadium is nicknamed the Emptyhad.

My goodness, this weekend was quite eventful, even more entertaining than I thought it would be (although mostly by the ways that were underwhelming rather than outstanding).

The quality performances first: great gutsy win by Liverpool away at Newcastle. It certainly looked like the Magpies were keen to get a point out of this match (esp. after Salah went out hurt - what is the news on him, btw?), but the Reds were plucky enough to claim the victory, 3-2. Chelsea took proper stock of the top-4 situation and dispatched Watford as they should have at Stamford Bridge, 3-0.

Then the not-so-quality performances: how the hell do Tottenham become unglued enough to have TWO men sent off (for most of the whole second half as well) in a game that was so meaningful to them? Playing Bournemouth should have provided an easy 3 points to the Lillywhites, but they couldn't even manage 1. Dreadful. Man U continued their head-scratching run of form and could only manage a 1-1 draw against the already-relegated, cellar-dwelling Huddersfield. This result, combined with the other results of the day, guaranteed that they won't be playing Champions League next year. However, Arsenal take the cake. They somehow could only manage a 1-1 draw, at home, against Brighton who are a mere single spot above the relegation zone. This result, combined with Chelsea's victory, clinched a top-4 finish for the Blues - it's like Christmas in May! I know Mourinho was referring to Wenger when he said "specialist in failure", but I wonder if that aura is still at Arsenal sometimes. Their draw today also made it virtually mathematically impossible for them to get into the top 4 themselves, so they virtually guaranteed that their arch-rival Tottenham will finish in the top 4 at their expense! (No St. Totteringham's Day this year apparently.) It's not often that one can say that a draw is worse than a loss, but Arsenal may have just managed it! Tottenham opened the door for them on Friday, but Arsenal refused to walk through on Sunday. Too funny...

Man City will probably go top of the table again tomorrow (Monday). It's been very entertaining watching Man City and Liverpool slug it out all year. This weekend should be fun to watch - all the drama is at the top!

Did Kane  play for Tottenham?  Freakin joke, losing to Bournesworth.  Idiots.

:hurrah:

Football, bloody hell. I cannot believe it. I'd never ever thought Liverpool are able to beat the 3:0 against Barcelona. Making 4 goals against Barca is incredible but preventing them from shooting a single goal is epic.

KLOPPO!!!! 2 consecutive years in CL final is a fantastic achievement. And there will be no Sergio Ramos in Madrid

Come on Ajax - they played so very well, they deserved the final, too
