Rock and Roll TSRTS Jimmy's sound effect pedal

About 2 minutes into Rock and Roll in the Song Remains The Same Jimmy pushes what effects pedal before the solo.  I don't hear much change in sound.

Page used an EP-3 not an EP-1. ClinchFX EP-Pre makes a great reproduction of the Echoplex pre-amp which shaped Page's tone. Good alternative if you don't want to spend for an Echoplex.

Right, and just to note that Jimmy employed 2 Echoplexes sometimes in the same song( D&C) for different delay lengths,

and sometimes employed the pedal for the preamp boost with little or no delay. Pretty sure both models used tubes,

although later on at some point there was a solid state model, which actually wasn't too bad, but tubes are tubes.

The EP-1 & EP-2 were tube units, but the EP-3 changed to solid state.

Page used an EP-2 until early '72, when he switched to the EP-3, so as far as TSRTS goes (1973 tour) he's not using the tube model anymore.
