Now Curry has a bad finger, Durant's ankle is tweaked, as is Thompson's, while both Iguadola and West have knee injuries...

Yet as far as I know they are all playing? So as much trouble they have had given the high expectations, I doubt they will lose in Orlando.  Not sure who if there is any true threat to Cleveland in the East?  Boston many believe can beat them and if Heyward were back especially.  Indiana is not bad, but the young and upcoming 76ers are a team to watch out for very soon.  The T Wolves have been playing well out west. But Houston is the one team that GS has to worry about.

Ha. Chris Paul will meltdown in the playoffs as usual.

Well I do not like Houston.  My favorite team is now the 76ers,    And Golden St.  I have no loyalty in basketball like other sports since the Buffalo Braves left decades ago.  The old Lakers with West and the Warriors with Barry were my teams.  Also liked Dr J.

I like the Celtics in the East, a team that may be able to overcome the "one-man-team" of LeBron and whoever is with him at the moment.  Raptors had their run and are going to fade.  Too soon for the 76ers, but give them a year or two!

In the West, it's the Rockets, Thunder, Spurs and, my personal fav the Pelicans.  I've been waiting for years for Anthony Davis to have some team support.  Now Cousins is playing his best and Holiday has stepped up too. Westbrook still needs to learn to trust his team members, Kawhi Leonard is still hurt (I'll never understand why Pop put him back in that day!) and the Rockets continue to roll!

The Warriors put together their best game of the year against the Magic.  If they can play like that, they've got as good chance of repeating.  However if they keep making stupid turnovers, all that good defense means nothing!  It's harder than ever to repeat a s champions, with all the film, and analytic metrics, every team in the league spent the off season preping to beat Curry and the W's.

Should be a good season!

Really in the West its Golden st and Houston.  I do not think San Antonio is a team to worry about now.  Not at all.  Dont be surprised if the Pistons go in there and beat them tonight. The Pelicans should be playing better given the talent. Minnesota has played well in the West too.  But its Golden St in the end and I cannot see anyone beating them, unless Houston pulls the upset. Too deep are the Warriors.  Not sure Cleveland can be beaten yet.  But most like you are saying Boston can do it. Not sure if Heyward is done for good or not?  He could be a difference.  But it looked really bad.  When Washington gets healthy they could be tough.

Thinking G Heyward is done for the season, too bad, I'd love to see what the Celtics could do with him on the floor!

Warriors/Heat game show a flash of 'Dubs dominance, took a half time lead to a big fourth quarter lead with Curry sitting out the last quarter.

Crazy how many stars are getting one T ejections this year! AD, LeBron, KD, then last night Shawn Livingston?!?  I saw it, Livingston took at least two steps back before touching heads with the official.  This morning the league agreed with me and suspended the ref for a week.

It looked pretty bad!  I'm thinking he out for 3 weeks at least!

Maybe they will be less lazy knowing he is out?  We shall see.  I give the Pistons a big shot tonight.  Freakin Lakers won in Philly knocking down a 3 with 2 ticks on the clock

Only time I bet against the 76ers all year was Friday night.  A classic that OKC won in 3 OTs, and Westbrooke was in beast mode in the 3rd one and put down a slam for the ages from about 6 feet back of the base line. Incredible.  Him and Embid chirping at each other.  Embid will not make the trip to Chi town tonight, something I learned after putting money down on Philly.  Simmons can still beat those shit bags.  With that loud mouth trash talker saying they will make it 6 in a row.  I say the Lakers have a better shot on Kobe night even though I took GS.  They will be the FIRST TEAM IN SPORTS HISTORY TO RETIRE TWO NUMBERS FOR ONE PLAYER. 8 AND 24 FOR KOBE

I thought about getting tickets to the Kobe jersey retirement game. But there is just too much to do with Christmas and everything else. Wished they could have scheduled the ceremony at another time...in January or February, for instance.

The Lakers fought like hell to win this one.  Took the mighty Warriors to OT and fell 2 points short.  The Lakers have improved since last year, and I am sure within two years they will be a player once again.  You can't keep them down for too long.  I thought that about the Knicks once,   They are getting better now that Phil Jackson is gone with all of that money that was wasted on his sorry ass.  And he gets credit for being a good coach.  I am not so sure.  Who couldn't have won with the lineups he had.  Chicago sucked one out again.  But the 76ers were without Embid who did not fly to Chicago due to a sore back

Wow! Who saw the return of Isaiah Thomas and Damian Lillard?  Great to see IT back in form, 17 points in 19 min. on 6 of 12 shooting and moving like his old self!  Lillard looked good too (6 of 9 from 3 point land).  I'm excited to see these two teams back to full strength.

And how about the Spurs/Knicks game?  Kawhi Leonard's looking good too, 25 points on 8 of 20 and a full 30 min.  Aldridge hit 29 and Manu hit a three on a failed lob pass, BUT THE REFS DIDN'T NOTICE!?!?  How bad will the officials have to get before the league realizes that they added rules for years but have never add another ref?

And what's up with the Rockets?  Have the Thunder finally caught fire? Toronto was playing at a high level last time I watched one of their games.

This season is getting better and better!

Edited to add:  How could I forget Steph Curry?  38 points in his comeback and 32 tonight including the game winning 3 pointer with 3 ticks left!

I have to admit, that Boston @ Golden State game was one of the most entertaining regular season games I have ever seen. The Kyrie vs. Curry duel lived up to the hype...hell, it exceeded the hype. Curry is just unreal sometimes.

Fuck the All-Star game. Just have Kyrie vs. Curry one-on-one.

Watching the Clippers blow up their team is giving me immense schadenfreude. :hysterical:

All those Clipper fans a few years ago telling me the Clippers were gonna take over L.A. from the Lakers. Bwahahaha. Yeah, right. The Doc Rivers-Chris Paul-Blake Griffin-DeAndre Jordan era has netted exactly ZERO championships, ZERO NBA Finals appearances...not even conference finals.

Surprised the Pistons got Blake Griffin... Looked good last night. I still think it's going to be the Celtics-Cavaliers in the East... I wouldn't worry about GS - they'll rest a guy now so they're healthy by the WCF. Plus, they have a lot of great players not only to make up the slack, but to give them real game experience.

Pretty hard to understand what the hell they are doing.  I mean, trading Blake looks stupid as hell unless the number one they got for him pays off.  I do not know any of the players they got in return.  They were playing surprisingly well.  And still are better than the Lakers I hate to inform you. Even in full rebuild mode.

Well that was the best All-Star game I've ever seen!  Now for the rest of the season:  The "New Look" Cavs are rolling hard but are stuck in third place behind the roaring Raptors and the fading Celtics, while the "invincible" GS Warriors have dropped to second place behind the Rockets...

If there is another dangerous team in all of this I believe its OKC.  Westbrooke is an animal and now he has some help.  In the East Philly is likely a year away, but if there is a sleeper as a lower seed its them.  The Raptors might have a real shot of getting out of the East but Cleveland seems to be far better since this trade deadline move?

Totally dropped the ball on the All-Star game. Too much going on.

I just now saw Fergie's excruciating National Anthem "performance".  Let's hope this ends her career...at least her music career. I'm sure she could still find work at Wallmart or in porn.

They really shifted the all-star game later this year. It's now a 20 game sprint to the end of the season instead of the normal 40 games after the break.

Obviously, Lebron casting away Dywayne Wade, Isaiah Thomas and all the other dead weight on Cleveland's bench was the move of the season. Suddenly, Boston is not the lock of the Eastern Conference they used to be. If Kevin Love can come back in form for the playoffs, I like Cleveland's chances of going to the Finals.

The Wizards and the Raptors? Ha...don't make me laugh. Toronto might win a round or two, depending on their seeding, but Les Boulez are a mirage. As soon as John Wall comes back they'll turn into a pumpkin.

OKC looked terrible tonight

They have raw talent but they're not a team, imo, still too much iso ball

OKC won their last trip to Golden St so winning two in a row there is asking a bit much.  I would not overlook them in the playoffs. If anyone can give GS a fight its them and Houston and just maybe the Clippers who have been far better without Blake than with him.  The Pistons on the other hand have been horrible.  I know many would take Curry to build a team around over anyone.  I would take Westbrook
