lololabrute
Which version is the best?
zepster1979
EV is better. Not os EQ (I'd say it hasn't been tempered at all), is also more complete and source transitions are much much smoother. EV had also released so called alternate version of this show sourced from a different tape source and if this is not enough, you have two versions of it: the basic Black Axe and collector's one titled No Quarter. lololabrute
Thanks. So no EQ on EV but still it sound better then Tarantura. Great, two different version on EV... i'm gonna kill myself...
zepster1979
T2K is known for its heavy mastering / tweaking the sound, many of their titles are suffering from this. EV is sometimes similar but this title is as good as it should be, when compared to the low gens at least.
Ocean73
The EV vs. the original Immigrant label release anyone?I believe this was the first appearance of this full audience tape.Ive always loved how this show sounded.Great vibes indeed!
chillumpuffer
I used to have the Original single vinyl of The Red Devil Label. I put it up for auction for Jimmy's Brazil street children charity. Rare indeed to see it.
lololabrute
Black Dragon with Blue Axe seems to be the best version of this show so far.. even better then what's on The Final Option. No?
zepster1979
The Black Dragon and No Quarter Red Devil sets were teasers and then EV had released entire run of 5 shows in the Final Option box set. They are identical I'd say.
Strider
This is how I listen to May 18, 1975 EC. I have no complaints...it's a nice smooth listen all the way through.

zepster1979
I do have both of them :). Definitely the mp3 format isn't the best way to recognize bigger differences LOL

zepster1979
Yes, at least when compared to all other silver pressed titles including all 5 dates.
