ziggyp22
Just wondering if any of you have the Great White Salutes Led Zeppelin CD? I believe it came out in 2003 -- I am not sure. I got it for Christmas and have to say, Great White did some Led Zep songs well. Others, not so well. I have several tribute CD's of Led Zep and this one seems to be well ahead of the others that I have (Dread Zeppelin, Encomium, etc) Has anyone listened to the Great White Salutes Led Zeppelin CD -- if so, what are your thoughts? Thanks!
michaeld
I dont have that one - wish i did as they are a very good tribute band and i do like them a lot. I have their US import CD called Great Zeppelin: a tribute to Led Zeppelin. It's a live concert and good quality - the vocals are superb and for fans of live concerts i would recommend this one as well.

Thanks!I saw Great White here in Vancouver last year. I went on the strength of hearing and MP3 which I thought was great. I knew when I heard the first song that night that I was going to be leaving early. I made my way to the center of the stage to hear real well, and listened to a song and a half and left totally disappointed. I posted that review here and someone who was at the same show actually emailed me and felt the same. He went to the trouble of writing the band to let them know. He did get a very lengthly response from Michael White explaining the evening. I can't remember right ow what the explaination was, but it just wasn't a for me. LeD-kHaN
I had a couple of albbums form Great white in the 80s. I used to call them the Zeppelin of the 80s together with Kingdom Come. The vocals were difently inspired by Plant and also some melodies. They released some great Zep infuenced songs - House of broken love, rock me, save your love, angel song.
