According to a report on Led Zep news, Page says he hasn't played electric guitar at his London home since buying it in 1972.

Hmm.

I doubt a wee Fender Champion amp is going to bring the place down.

Doesn't this tie in to his feud with his neighbors remodeling their house next door? Worrying about the seismic vibrations from a jackhammer?

Sounds very far fetched. By his logic, shouldn't the Royal Albert Hall be collapsing any moment now? Here he is on the premises of Tower House with one of his electric guitars:

if he means he's never cranked it up in the house, then fair enough, but to say he hasn't played electric guitar in that house since the early 70s seems pretty far fetched to me. however whatever he needs to say to sway the planning permission wrangle is what he's going to say, same as we all would
