AWESOME collection!  Really nice to see someone else who appreciates "Nurse Jackie"!  I suggest "True Detective"  Season 1 and some older shows that I have "Monty Python" and "Fawlty Towers" - if you are into British humor.  Also, if you like the "300" movies, get "Sparticus" - it makes "Game of Thrones" sex and violence look like a Disney movie!

Where in the name of Great Caesars Ghost is: Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica (2003, not 1978 as that was a bit of a cheese fest), The Expanse, Highlander, All in the Family, Soap, Barney Miller, Rome, True Detective, and everything by Ken Burns?

Almost every show you have mentioned I love...great list.

You are clearly my age! Avengers? The Young One's? Great shows! Have you seen The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin?

Gary Shandling? Hell yeah! Remember Mary Hartman and Fernwood Tonight?

P.S. Wild Wild West has been on my mind lately...

Based on the fact that a lot of what you already have are some of my favourites, I can't recommend "The Shield" enough. It starts off good and gets better and better.

I just ordered "Fargo" Season 1-3.  I have seen and like the movie but I have never seen the series.

I’m gonna check that one out too. Have heard lots of good reports. Do you not have On Demand, kingzoso?  You can record entire series and decide if it’s worth your $ to purchase. ✌🏼

This may not be the right thread. I apologize in advance, but it's the closest I could find to possibly help me with my dilemma.

I haven't had television in 9 years. The internet company called me Tuesday noticing that I have declined them at every turn for cable.

They offered me a free live stream app that I could use on my smart tv, or phone or pc. Whatever... I accepted it. Why not? 1 month trial!

I haven't even downloaded the app. Half a week gone.

My question. What is good that is on tv? We like History and Sci-Fi. Before m'lady went on her European trip to visit the family, we were watching season 1 of LHOTP.

Is television worth it, or is it trash? When I last watched it regularly, I was watching shows like NCIS, X-files, House MD, and of course NFL and NHL.

Well King, we have absolutely NOTHING IN COMMON.  Only the Twilight Zone, the old ones did I view off your list.  So we can go back obviously as some have?  I thought it was current at first?  But going back and including all time is going to get crazy.  Sooooooo many that I love.  I will put a few favs here.  No movies right?  I do not think you wanted movies?

Prison Break

The Fugitive (the late David Janssen, the show from the 60's)

All In the Family

Bewitched

Hogans Heroes

The Honeymooners

Everyone Loves Raymond

Gomer Pyle

Jeopardy

Time Tunnel

Oh I give up.  Too many

Okay, not that anyone cares, but I just ordered the following shows and/or series:

True Blood

Eastbound and Down

Freaks and Geeks

 and Spartacus...

Total cost: Appromatley $115.

I have enough new (and recenty bought shows that I have yet to watch), to last Me another year or two.  I have some $ to spend and I Prefer to spend said $ on things that I want.

I want to watch shows that I have an interest in and have never seen before.

What good is money if you can't enjoy it?

Good on ya for getting Sparticus.....it really does keep you on edge.

My LAST suggestion as I didn't see it on your list - "Dexter"!  It's one of my top 5 shows of all time!   A serial killer who works for the police!

You forgot,

Maverick

Curb Your Enthusiasm.

You mention Shandling, Both  The Shandling Show and Larry Sanders were good.

You are correct on both counts. But I was thinking of kingzoso and what he would like. That's why I left off Curb, Simpsons, South Park, Seinfeld, MASH, and a host of other "liberal-leaning" shows.

Yes Fargo,  all 3 seasons,  are greatness. Each episode is like it's own Coen Brothers movie.

Season 2 was my favorite!

This and I also forgot to mention Twin Peaks and Space Ghost Coast to Coast, The Flintstones (the first prime time animation series), and the NBC Sunday Mystery lineup of Columbo, McCloud, and McMillan & Wife.
