No way that had anything to do with it. Lots of bands have played with crap PAs. Plants voice deterioration was a combination of his style of singing, heavy touring, and singing through injury. Smoking is low on the list of things that hurt his voice. Lots of singers smoked back then. The band’s performance style and 3 hour concerts did as much damage to Plant’s voice as they did to Page’s tendons in his hands. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
