superleo12
Hello. Over the last years I had the chance to download/collect some Led Zeppelin Bootleg DVDs. As I am only hunting for Pro-Shot recordings, my collection looks that way: 1975-05-24 London, England (Earls Court 75 Ultimate Editon) [Cosmic Energy] 1975-05-24 London, England (In The Court Of King James) [Empress Valley 2010] 1975-05-25 London, England (Demand Unprecedented In The History Of Rock Music) [Empress Valley 2007] 1975-05-25 London, England (Holy Grail) [Trainspotter] 1975-05-25 London, England (Unstoppable Metal Machine) [Toasted Condor 2007] 1977-07-17 Seattle, WA, USA (Supersonic Seattle) [Genuine Masters] 1977-07-17 Seattle, WA, USA (The Year of the Dragon) [Empress Valley] 1979-08-04 Knebworth, UK (Knebworth Masters - 30th Anniversary Edition) 1979-08-04 Knebworth, UK (Past, Present & Future - DVD 2) [Empress Valley 2008] 1979-08-11 Knebworth, UK (Past, Present & Future - DVD 1) [Empress Valley 2008] 1979-08-11 Knebworth, UK (Return Of The Dinosaurs) [Genuine Masters] So my question is: What would be the best version for: 1975-05-24, 1975-05-25, 1977-07-17, 1979-08-04, 1979-08-11 Is there also a possibility that some versions are exactly the same? Means the Bootlegers bootleg the Bootlegers? Thanks in advance, I am curious for answers/discussions. What will be of interest: Which one (of each date) is THE version to go? Some have improved audio but to be honest unless you own the masters then that's your lot really
superleo12
Thanks. So thinking of "lower gen than others" which one to keep, which one to delete (without regretting) ?
chillumpuffer
I can't honestly tell you which ones I have. EV more than likely and the GM releases.
SteveZ98
The Bootledz site has a tons of info on the various DVD releases: http://www.bootledz.com/video/videography.htm
gibsonfan159
Go with EVSD for all three. Earl's court- Heavy Metal Kids (though it's missing a few from the 24th). Year Of The Dragon. Supersonic has less bass in the mix and has been brightened, which makes it look faded. Past Present And Future is as about as good as you're gonna get outside the official DVD. johnlennon696
For Knebworth 4th, you want Knebworth Masters (3 Discs) For Knebworth 11th, Return Of The Dinosaurs by GM is very good.
