a couple days ago here in No. CA we had 1" of snow that didn't "stick" (foothills to the Sierra outside Sacramento)..today is just cold and drizzly

Here, about 70 miles east of Los Angeles (Lake Elsinore), it's cloudy and chilly, chilly of course being a relative term when you're from Southern California. I'm wearing a sweater indoors, but I have the windows wide open (go figure). What can I say? I'm a smoker who lives with a non-smoker, so I make her shiver while providing her fresh air!

Sunny today, but it has been SO cold the last few days. That sort of cold that just sinks right into your bones and you can't get warmed up again until you've had like a whole pot of coffee. It sucks. I am SO ready for spring, and we haven't even hit our worst winter month yet. January is usually the coldest, and also has the most snow.

It's dark, dreary and freezing. I just went to get my slippers. I have on socks, slippers, jeans, a t-shirt and a sweatshirt. I also happen to be really cold. We have heat, but mom doesn't turn it up very high.

It's a lovely 32 degrees this morning. We have about a foot of snow and I have one very large snowman in my front yard. But I love the Midwest, it's home.(in April I may have a different opinion, but it only lasts until Mother Nature finally decides to stay above 60)

Absolutely. I'm pretty darn tired of this cold already... seems like it got and stayed cold earlier this year than normal, so most of us are already really sick of it.

I'm thinking it sounds like a better and better idea to sock away that money for a trip somewhere tropical next year...
