Charles J. White
6 Degrees Celsius right now which I think is about 40 F. The temp suddenly dropped here
LedZeppfan77
Its cooler and fall is here. I had the furnace cleaned. Now what to do with this plowman? Do I pony up the bucks for the whole season and take my chances? Or just pay him by the trip? last year was just mind boggling for this area
JTM
It's a really nice bright sunny autumn morning with a pleasantly cool temperature of 13c.
Charles J. White
Looks like it is going to rain all day, no sky but lots of clouds...
Charles J. White
It's going up to 14 degrees today which is approx 59 F. The cloud is a bit heavy and low at the moment but a lot of blue sky mixed in. A nice steady breeze. ocean waves are perhaps 4 feet at the moment. Edited October 12, 2012 by Charles J. chillumpuffer
It's going up to 28 degrees today which is approx 59 F. The cloud is a bit heavy and low at the moment but a lot of blue sky mixed in. A nice steady breeze. ocean waves are perhaps 4 feet at the moment. Isn't that about 15 degrees c ? 28 degrees is about 82 F. I know I felt it once, in Portugal last year. If it ever got to 82 here it would be a national disaster. Weather today is mixed. A bit of blue a bit of grey the occasional shower. Usual

JTM
I have just reset my Digital themometer to Fahrenheit. So outdoors it's 46f and indoors it's 65f. Iknow where I am now. The TV weather used to give both F and C, now it's just C. It has just started to rain again, light drizzle a half hour ago it was bucketing vertical rain as there is no breeze. Charles J. White
It was 22 degrees Celsius which I think is 72F, but perhaps some of the yanks can confirm that? Blue skies no clouds and a very light breeze
chillumpuffer
Grim. Dark cold and wet. And just for a change a wind that cuts through you like a knife. God helps us for the next 6 months :'(
Charles J. White
The fog has rolled in, I can't see a fucking thing in the distance, the ocean has some good wave action as I can hear it. The color change is in full force in the trees

LedZeppfan77
Florida. Now that would make sense as you are a Dolphins fan. Hell, I should have tried to meet you when I was in Ft Lauderdale last month.

I was in Orlando. that is as close as I got to Jacksonville. I drove from Hollywood beach where my relatives live to Ft Myers beach for a few days and then to Ocala and went to Orlando to Sea World. My cousins are Dolphins fans. they moved from here to there in the early 1970's
LedZeppfan77
Are their any farmers almanac buffs on here? Do you believe in them? Try and give me some insight into whether I should pay this plowman for the entire winter. Last year he plowed me once in a record setting non snowy winter in an area that is known for getting pounded. We are due to get pounded but global warming is a reality. So maybe we wont? I will probably just pony up the money to the kid who runs his own plowing and landscaping business. It is autumn like here, the change of leaves, but another indian summer is on the say next week. Virginia
Absolutely beautiful fall day here; blue sky; colorful leaves and right now it's 58 degrees. I'm not a farmer's almanac buff per se, but they are calling for a hard winter, and judging by the number of acorns and dogwood berries on the ground, I'd say they could very well be right.
