I think the band members all have side projects they're doing and my guess (and hope) would be when Robert and Alison finish touring, they'll all get back to the studio. Whats the name of his record ?? 100 people! I'm so jealous :'( That'll be awesome. It's called Soul Science. His other solo cd Desert Road is also well worth getting and you can hear a lot of his influence on Dreamland from it. He's just an amazing musician. AlexKx
Robert Plant at the end of "The Mighty Re-Arranger Tour Live! 2005-2006" did the recording for "Raising Sand" with Allison Krauss. Why that took a year to get released I don't know since supposedly they seemed to have recorded it REALLY quick. I just remember what seemed like no more than a month after that tour ended with the Strange Sensation that Robert claimed the new Krauss c.d. had been recorded. I could not believe that he did so so quick. Maybe they continued working on it for a number of more months and over recorded...I sure hope so. I do know that it takes about four months after an l.p. is through being made to get released as the record company spends all of that time preparing for the project but even then I don't know what took so long. Of course Allison Krauss was also touring throughout 2007 as a solo act for some compilation of rarities so I don't know...other than I think I understood that Robert Plant perhaps in early 2007 told The Strange Sensation to go out and start coming up with music so when they all come together they will have material to present. I think that "Raising Sand" and a new Sensation l.p. would have happened sooner as well if it weren't for the pesky side project that Robert reunited for with a one-off concert. Thank god that didn't last long...

I could be wrong but I thought Raising Sand was recorded earlier in 2007, not 2006 which would make it having been released fairly quickly - from winter/spring recording to an October release of same year. But if i'm wrong and it was 2006, well there's lots of reasons why albums get delayed being released. The important thing is it's out and we'll have some tour dates to look forward to. As for Strange Sensation, I'm sure once Robert and Alison are done touring, we'll see something from them as well. Lots of great things happening
Hand_Of_Omega_91
Didn't Justin Adams do a small chairty gig with Robert in Birmingham very recently? I think thats the last public thing a member of Strange Sensation did with Plant. In interviews it seems as if Robert is keen to carry on with Alison Krauss and there are all these Zeppelin tour rumours about the place so it may be a while before another Strange Sensation album. ally
As much as I'd like to see Zep back together, It pains me that it may come at the expence of this band. Hope they continue with or without Plant. There's a shortage of really good bands out there.

AlexKx
I have no problem with The Strange Sensation continuing on without Robert Plant BUT not until AT LEAST a couple of more studio l.p.s are done with him and toured behind. With all of that said it will be good not only when Robert Plant records and tours with The Strange Sensation again but records and tours with Allison Krauss again AND records and tours with Led Zeppelin again which should come first and foremost...of course there is the "Honydrippers: Volume II" that has yet to be done as well. I hope that there will be a Volume III with a tour behind both as well. No pressure Mr. Plant !

Don't quite understand--do you mean you want them to do another couple of studio albums with Robert, tour, and then they can go on without him? AlexKx
Yes...but even then Robert Plant could still record and tour with them again...I don't think that they should do too many studio l.p.s by themselves at all though as long as Robert Plant is still around...
