snapper
Doesn't seem right. They'd overshadow virtually everybody else on that bill. That being said, it would be very cool if they did it, regardless. As far as Plant having a change of heart, well, that happened a while ago. Here's a quote from the December issue of Rolling Stone: "I never wanted to do it" Plant says of the Reunion. "Now I want to do nothing else". See ya' Allison, she's great and all, but.......yawn. eternal light
Emmylou Harris went through this same trip. Rock really disrespects women sometimes; I guess I just have to recognize it. But I make no excuses for the uncivilized among the crowd. Anyone who attended Altamont could appreciate that. Best thing is to glance around the venue and see where they keep the bottled water; it's best not to dehydrate.
ledded1
Given the crap that ensued at the O2 re true fans going, why on earth would Zep do shows at Bonaroo or Glastonbury which are for more eclectic fans or those who don't give a toss who is playing and just want to be at the festival ( glastonbury this applies to more) For Glastnobury you have to apply for the right to get tickets and send photo id and its still luck of the draw, hardly gets true fans for any band. If they do anything it should be just zep shows wherever those may be and not festivals.

If they ever do any kind of tour, i really hope they would consider a satellite broadcast for atleast one of the shows.
kirchzep27
it doesn't sound likely that this would happen but if it's for real then i live in TN! i've never wanted to go to bonaroo before - though The Police being there last year almost convinced me - because it's just so crowded and uncomfortable but if led zep's there then i'd have to go! led zep in the united states (much less TN!) is a must go! Yeah its crowded and uncomfortable...but if it storms like it did a few years ago, you would have to see it to believe it. The last festival i'll ever go to. Bluwolf
Jersey shore huh. Hiya Neighbor im thinking of going & im proably just as old but ive tried 3 times to see them when they werre all together. i've seen Jimmy with Black Crowes Ive Seen Robert solo & ive seen the one tour with the morroccan bands but the one that blew me away was the tour Jimmy & robert did in Tampa @ The Ice Palace when i was living in FLA... If i were to close my eyes then i would have thought i was back in the 70's i don't remember who the drummer & bass player were for that tour but they ROCKED!!!!!!! Maybe CYA IN AC Sometime, thats where i workI'd prefer an indoor venue, like MSG. I hope it's on their agenda. Possible bad weather, possible rain or even blaring heat that makes for sweaty, disgusting smells, and possible muddy conditions do not interest me- even for Led Zeppelin. My idea of camping is room service. I'm too old for Bonnaroo or Woodstock-type festivals. One was enough for me. B-Bender
The Barbecue is great in Memphis and it's worth the trip to Graceland for any music fan. "Tennessee, Tennessee ain't no place I'd rather be." Maybe even visit the Martin Luther King museum with Obama and Hillary..... Sun Studios, Grand Old Opery, Loretta Young's Kitchen and The Mighty Mississippi.....

I missed Led Zeppelin live all those years ago. Sure would love another chance! Nope-never saw Plant or Jimmy or JPJ solo or otherwise either. I'd go see Plant and Krauss. I live close to NYC, I am in there all there time, so MSG would be great! Edited January 10, 2008 by PlantOneOnMe
kdh
will someone stop these silly Boner-roo rumours. Robert, Jimmy, JPaul, make an announcement and get it over with.
lzatlanta73
Tennessee newbie here Bonnaroo.......let's hope not! It will be 100+ degrees, 100%+ humidity, 100,000+ people, 100,000+ drunks! Hey, wait, sounds like most Zep concerts in the south in the 70's! Nevermind
BartLennon
For what it's worth, my wife works with the music industry in Tennessee and got pretty credible confirmation from two sources today that LZ will in fact be at Bonnaroo '08. Expect an announcement.

docron
i highly doubt zeppelin will play at bonnaroo... its a pretty open festival with like 15 stages and you can sneak in pretty easily... if zeppelin were to play there, there would be a few hundred thousand people trying to force their way in and it would get out of hand quickly.. the point im making is that zeppelin can pretty much only play inside 4 walls /....that you cant climb over, under or push through i still hope it will happen, but im still skeptical this sort of gig would ever happen.. it makes you think though because JPJ played there last year and he may have suggested it to the group recently
BartLennon
Robert & Allison's are confirmed to play at Bonnaroo correct? Strangely, I cannot currently either confirm nor deny that. In case you're interested though, I *can* confirm that the episode of 'Crossroads' with Krauss & Plant has been booked for 11 February on CMT.
