confounded_bridge
I mostly agree. But the best version of kashmir is 6/22/77 followed by 6/25/77 and 6/21/77. As for OTHAFA, I would also pick 6/19/72 as my favourite early version. The BEST later version is 6/22/77, no contest for this.
Badgeholder Still
This version with it's Plantation included (how novel), if this isn't THE version of this song and one of the greatest LZ moments of all... well, i'll eat my bowler hat. rm2551
Possibly because it is also on film which edges out some very good competition like Zurich and Frankfurt 1980 for starters. And Jonesy's funky groove is so perfect.
paul carruthers
Best live song, where do I start aside from cherry picking off the top of my head: TUF: 6/29/80 OTHAFA: 2/12/75 Sick Again: 3/5/75 Dazed and Confused: BBC Sessions (Disc 1) Achilles: 6/29/80 Bring It on Home: HTWWW Stairway to Heaven: TSRTS All My Love: 7/7/80 No Quarter: 2/16/
RoyHarper
For my money, this is the definitive version of Thank You. Page and Bonham's duel at the end is transcendent.
Fat Albert 72
Best ever "Since I've Been Loving You" is Berkley 14/9/71 - "Going To California With Led Zeppelin" on TMQ

But not just listening but also watching the band at the height of their powers at Earls Court as they hit the audience up the side of their heads with some funk. Glorious, I never tire of watching that. Edited February 10, 2020 by Mr. Mountain Hop
