December 31, 1967. The Ice Bowl. Dallas @ Green Bay for the NFL Championship. In sub-freezing temperatures...the coldest game ever. No room for prima donnas in this game.

I was at the 3rd coldest game of all time.  Brutal.  Raiders at Bills.  On the way to one of our 4 Super Bowls.  It was not the first.  Maybe the 2nd or 3rd.  I was also at Don Shula's last game ever.  The Bills and Thurman Thomas beat him and Miami in the wild card round on the way to one of those Super Bowls.

Well Paul, if you read this, with Fitz out, I am pretty sure McDermott is still resting his starters for most of this game.  So lets just say Josh Allen lights you guys up for two TD's and its lets say 14-3 Bills after one quarter.  Allen is pulled and in comes Barclay who drives me nuts.  He is capable of a big game like the one where he destroyed the Jets and looked like the second coming of Johnny Unitas, but then again, no mobility and vs Miami's front line and quality LB's I think he is pretty much dead.  The Bills defense may be the key here.  If they sit guys like T White and Edmunds and Milano, then that opens the door for Tua to move the ball and rally from the score I suggested and pull it out.  Of course things could go far better at the start due to your defense.  The weather is another concern.  Not snow but cold.  But I hear mid 30s and that is not unbearable. If the Dolphins cant win this game, they can still make it with a Houston upset of Tennessee.  There are two opinions being tossed out on this game. Some think the Texans have quit.  Maybe. But Mr Watts is not having it. And if Watkins is a go, they can score plenty and possibly pull the upset that would put Miami in, and maybe Tennessee out. Oh, that would just break my heart.

The NFC East?  Who knows.  I do have a good feeling that the Rams will come through.  They are now plus 3 due to no Goff and Murray playing. The Cardinals have been shit. Ill pick the Rams to beat them.  I really do not know what to think of this Philly vs Washington game.?  As for Dallas, most like the boys to win.  But some say the Giants will win because they have a good defense of late up front, and Dallas has won due to a 10-1 turnover ratio.  There is the Jason, ex Cowboys coach angle too.  He would love nothing more than to send them packing

Is this announcer for real?  Does he honestly think Indy will lose to Jacksonville?  Sorry Paul but I do not see it.  Bad enough they are 14 points dogs.  But Marone has been told he will not be back  If I am Miami coach I might be calling Doug Marone and beg him to try

Cleveland sure made it scary.  Unreal

^^ After that shit display by Miami, they don't deserve a playoff spot. I'm not sure if the Colts or Titans losing would help, but the search for a franchise QB post Dan Marino, unfortunately will continue for years to come...

😒

You have a number 3.  And, Jacksonville is coming back.  .That is shocking in itself.

Maybe Miami should take a shot on the kid from Ohio St?

Man is Houston's defense awful

I see the Chargers are feasting on the Chiefs, but I'm sure the Chiefs are on cruise control knowing they have that #1 seed locked up...

Chargers were -3.5  I had them with the fucking Jets who stuck it up my ass.  Firs time I have lost at that Sportsbook this year.   I just thought NE had quit. But no.  We just obliterated the bastards. Take that Billy.  Toss some more phones.  That was funny shit.

I do not think 6 1/2 is enough points for the Colts in Buffalo.  Phillip Rivers has not had much fun playing there over the years vs much lesser teams than the one we now have.  I am going Bills, Tampa, New Orleans, without hesitation.  The other  games are tough.  Ill have to go Steelers (as much as I would like Cleveland to win, but a Pittsburgh win could send Baltimore to KC and that is what I would love),  Baltimore to put an ass whipping on Tennessee (payback), and I just believe the Rams can beat Seattle. They did convincingly the first time.  Seattle  still has issues in the secondary.   But I will admit I may be way off on this one.

I would sure rather the Browns beat Pittsburgh under normal circumstances, but with my Bills poised for a deep run, it might be better to have Baltimore go to KC.  Just imagine the blood Baltimore has in its eye for Tennessee and KC?  They were eliminated by Tennessee and KC embarrassed them on National TV.  This is back when they were not playing like they are now. It could set up a title game in Buffalo.  But if the Bills have to go to KC, so be it.  I fear no team.  In Josh I trust!!!!!

Lastly, MVP race.  Rogers has been outspoken that he deserves it. Of course I am biased.  But Colin of the Herd is not.  His case for Josh Allen is sound.  The Bills played a much more difficult schedule than Green Bay and KC.  Most have put Josh ahead of Mahomes in this race now.  Look at who Green Bay has played compared to who the Bills played.  Use yesterday as a  measuring stick.  What is more impressive, 4 TD pass's in  one half vs Miami defense or Rogers day vs that shitty Bears secondary?

So Frank Reich will coach against his old team!!!  A team he has praised as little as two weeks ago when they won the East.  He has to have mixed emotions.  He led the greatest comeback in NFL history.  38-3 at the half with Kelly not available.  Vs the then Houston Oilers.  The comeback would get many a coach fired.  It would lead to the end of a franchise IMO. Jack Pardee the ex Los Angeles Ram, was the head coach then.  Warren Moon was the QB.  A much older Frank Reich returns to the same place where he did his magic all those years ago during the Super Bowl run of 4 in a row that has never been equaled, all be it, we lost them all somehow.  Wide right being the easiest one to explain.

I know that this team is far better than those we sent to 4 Super Bowls. Kelly would be the firs to point out that Allen has far more talent than he ever had. And this team has a better all around defense, especially secondary.  The only two things the old Bills had that were better were Thurman Thomas and Bruce Smith.
