martinlowery7@hotmail.com
Hi all, Does anyone remember this happening early 2000,s I think. My son and I won invites to it. We met Jimmy and had photos taken with him and were allowed to have 1 item each autographed. We borrowed a digital camera and the disc with all the pics we took on the day disappeared in house move. I remember that all the official pics were going on their website but it's too long ago to remember what it was. I can't find any reference to the event at all. Any ideas? Cheers, Marty
SteveAJones
On Sunday, Oct 12, 2003 Jimmy made a promotional appearance on behalf of the ABC Trust and greeted 50 contest winners at the MVC (43 King William Street). This is the only event held in London during that era that closely matches your description. Edited May 10, 2020 by SteveAJones
martinlowery7@hotmail.com
That could be it Steve. There was a raffle for a signed painting or print and we think there was money raised for the street children in Brazil, if any of that makes sense. We are going to have a search of stuff in the loft . I had an A4 photo print of me meeting Jimmy that I kept in a work diary. Only 40 years worth to search. The signed DVD has just been found.😁 Cheers, Marty

Jimmy Page served as patron. The trust's formal launch event was held June 25, 2001 (but it did not include what you have described). ledded1
I was there that day. I'd won a pair of tickets as did my best friend Dave so we took 2 of his sons with us. So the chance to meet Jimmy, support the BC charity was a fantastic day. Here are some of the pics.

ledded1
That's Jimena, Jimmy's then wife. She is Argentinian. We chatted with her about the ABC Trust. She was lovely, very friendly and willing to chat with people.

Jimmy's adopted daughter Jana is a yoga teacher. She has been practicing and teaching yoga for a long time. She has also created her own line of music, simply named Yoga Techno, which is available on Spotify. She was only six months old when Jimmy first met her mother. This is Forest Fest, an event Jana & Jimena hosted at the Deaenery Garden in Sonning in May 2013. All of the proceeds went to the ABC Trust. I believe she claims Great Britain as her nationality. https://www.facebook.com/janaabananaa
