Who is this person on the cover of Physical Graffiti?

Hi! Does anyone know who this is on the Physical Graffiti cover? Tried looking everywhere but couldn't find anything.

Yep, the PG pic is Jimmy, however it looks like due to cropping or whatnot the image was made a wee bit wider giving him a heavier appearance.

The photos were from the Japan tour in 1971, shot in a Geisha house. In the LZ by LZ photobook, all 4 band member photos are lined up, showing them each in kimonos with makeup and hair done.

I see a strong resemblance to Mac from Always Sunny in the PG photo - LOL

He went by the name Palu. He was VERY good friends with my mom.

Not sure if his real name was Jimmy but I kno we called him Palu.

I grew up right across the street from his building.

My mom lived at 97 St. Marks Place till she passed away recently (in April) from the Virus.

Palu was an awesome guy.  Here is a picture of him and my mom talking in front of his building.

I have more pictures of him.. in my mom's apt back in the day..

I havent seen him in years. Wish I knew where he was and if he is still with us.

Jimmy only went by Palu for a very, very brief time - during his Hawaiian music phase. "Down By the Seaside" originally had a "Tiny Bubbles" style ukulele thing going on. We don't like to talk about it here on the forum.

Ok sorry..  I wasnt aware of that. I just knew him as that. I was a little girl and he was my mom's VERY good friend. Last I saw him was when I left home and moved out of NYC and that was many years ago.  My mom recently passed away from the Virus. I recently found pic's of her and him and another address for him but he doesnt live there anymore. I've been looking for him to let him kno. Do you know where I can find him? I'm sure he'd be upset. Thank you for the info.
