Shockwave6668
Does anyone else wonder why the Robert Johnson birthplace home in Hazlelhurst, Mississippi has not been restored yet? At an estimated $300k to restore it's such a shame that a talented blues musician who influenced so many such as Page, the Stones, Clapton and so many others is so overlooked. This site, if renovated, would bring so much history to the roots of all genres of music from the 20s on. I'm guessing the state, county are not willing to the yearly upkeep once, if at all, complete. But with good advertisements, low admissions, Johnson lives even though his roots, legacy is slowly being forgotten! Anyone agree?
Stryder1978
It's all about the dollars. A small fan base of pure blues enthusiasts plus a town with a population of 3,800 does not equal fiscal investment.
Wolfman
That's a damn shame. I would love to see it!
