COVID-19: Australian riot police fire rubber bullets at anti-lockdown protesters in Melbourne | World News | Sky News

It wouldn't surprise me if it was agent provocateurs who "initiated" the bottle-throwing, this is a standard police tactic around the world to discredit protests.  Of course, if you can't leave the house, you can't protest things like war, so voila, no opposition to it, right?

‘Workers have no interest in war with China’: Australian trade unions slam nuclear submarine deal with US & UK — RT World News

The Victorian Police have always been heavy handed, with zero tolerance.

What this report failed to point out, is the fact that some of the protesters defiled the Shrine of Remembrance dedicated to our fallen in all the conflicts Australia participated in, by urinating on the building and leaving rubbish strewn on the lawn. Americans and the British would not and rightly so, tolerate such behaviour.

Is it too much to ask for some balanced and accurate reporting?

As for a war with China, that's their call not ours and we have every right to defend ourselves as we see fit.

Here in NSW restrictions have been lifted with the Police and ADF having been stood down and the curfew no longer in place (for over a week now). No helicopters in sight.

Border restrictions between Qld, ACT, Vic, SA, NT, WA and Tas still apply for the time being along with NZ.

In just over a week, October 11 in fact, pubs, clubs, cinemas and other businesses will reopen for trade.

International flights are set to resume in mid December.

The crisis at the border has nothing to do with China, that's entirely the fault of the American political class (and the globalist oligarchs they service).

All these foreigners coming in no matter if they're Chinese or South American or whatever race they are coming into our country and taking American jobs, more so than before is this administrations fault, as soon as Biden got in, they hired a slew of Chinese, Indian and Pakistanis.

Trump was America first and not giving visas to these people to take our jobs, jobs that pay well, I guarantee you I make more than a Chinese or Pakistani PhD working at my company, they hire these people to exploit them to no end, where an American PhD makes 6 figures or more.

And they slave work them to death.

If there is war with China, I guarantee you even with this commie administration we'll back you up as will England and hopefully the completely liberal Canadians and we'll obliterate China off the map, that is if their undercover commie comrades the Russians interfere on the Chinese side and help them out, never trusted those Russians, even when the wall came down, Putin's been in power forever after Yeltsin, the guy just keeps changing titles but is still running the show.

@RainbowElf and @Reggie29

You're both missing the point:  if there's war with China, it will be because the Western oligarchs want it to avoid the ramifications of a collapsing financial system, which they've rigged to their own benefit at the expense of the larger society.  I'm obviously not denying Australia has the right to defend itself, of course it does.  But Australia will be the opening front in such a war, and conveniently the scamdemic has allowed the government to put in the necessary social controls.

@Reggie29

And how do you know the police themselves (i.e. agent provocateurs) didn't do this, to "justify" the harsh response?  On the reopening, get back to us in a few weeks, we've seen this game before, it only takes a few "cases" (and the attendant media hysteria/fear-mongering) to reverse course.

Actually if there's anyone who "started this mess", it's probably Roosevelt's communist-infested government, who betrayed nationalist China at Yalta.  Again:  know your enemy.

You do have a point there John. I really liked FDR's domestic policies but his foreign policy was a disaster. FDR, for some odd reason, genuinely liked Stalin and then dismissed Churchill's concerns. Why the Dems allowed FDR to run again in 44' when his health was seriously declining is beyond me. FDR was losing it mentally IMO by 44' and he completely shit the bed at Yalta. The China thing is more complicated though. Mao's forces had more popularity among the people, Chang's forces represented the status quo which most Chinese were not too fond of. As usual we backed the wrong horse (Chang) and Mao came out on top, really hating America in the process. We did the same just a few years later in Vietnam. The American advisors, mostly OSS / CIA were in Nam since 45' and had informed Truman that Minh was not a true communist, but a democratic socialist who wanted to partner with the US. Believe it or not Truman was actually going to back Minh and work toward re-unification under Minh but then those damn frogs (French) stepped in, and that jack-hole de Gaulle threatened the US that if we backed Minh to end French colonialism in Indo-China that France would align with the Soviets, and go commie. Thus beginning US shitting the bed in Vietnam, even after the debacle in Korea which should have taught us a valuable lesson. A lesson that 71 years later we still have not learned.

And the above post really isn’t on topic is it Steve. Is your enemy all Chinese, or the Chinese government? If it is all Chinese, man that’s a lot of enemies. Like a billion or something close to that. I get the Muslim extremists. Terrible people. A lot like Qanon, or Leftwing extremists, or Rightwing extremists. Extremists in general seem to be just be bad. Or if you are talking Muslim/Islamic terrorists. Those people are the worst. But I don’t know how many of them are taking the vaccine?

The confusion is a result of applying identity politics to statistics to support a narrative.

Try (x = number of citizens) divided by (x = number of citizens vaccinated) = percentage of citizens vaccinated.

Well I would hope you aren’t trying to say that I support a narrative, or that I’m playing identity politics. That would just be false. You can look up a lot of statistics and be confused by them. I would say that there are a few people on this thread that are supporting a narrative though Steve.

We all don’t have to believe the same thing, or feel the same way about said topics. Hell, RainbowElf wants to go to war with all of China! That poor bastard just made a billion enemies. And I’m pretty sure even though he doesn’t like Bobdobbs he is going to need his help, along with JohnOsbourne and you and I. Three out of the 5 of us are vaccinated as well. So we probably stand a good shot at taking them on.

Cheers Steve.

That’s the smartest thing the Australian govt. did is to request those nuclear submarines.

Fucking Chinese are taking over the US, my company is 90 percent Chinese, the other 8 percent is Indian and 2 percent American. Tell me that’s not discrimination.

Sounds a lot like the premise to the Michael Keaton movie Gung Ho! You guys might end up really liking each other and getting some culture. You might start practicing Tai Chi and using chopsticks. They might start liking overalls and trucker hats and six shooter pistols. Being serious for a moment. I think it is less about people and more about government. The lack of trust in our government as well as others is at an all time high. To only trust a government that is made up of your political party seems a little naive to me. Certainly there are power hungry people/individuals or groups in any walk of life. But to condemn an entire party of people, or an entire country, ethnicity, or people of different spiritual and religious beliefs simply because they are not like you or I is just short sited and ignorant. You’re  not an ignorant guy. Perhaps a little angry? Try accepting conversations, or reading or watching things out of your comfort zone. You can always go back to hating the Asians/Chinese, and anything with color. One last question, what and where were all these American/white jobs that Trump was creating? Say what you want about that communist Sleepy Joe, but he is doing okay in the Job sector.

Right on Rainbowelf. Have a great night.

Not at all, just pointing out race-based COVID-19 statistics exist solely to serve identity politics narratives. How do I know this? Because viruses don't discriminate.

Well, you are absolutely correct that viruses do not discriminate, and I would also agree that an overwhelming amount of the statistics about race and COVID are predominantly about identity politics.

Cheers Steve. Take care.

Honestly I love your enthusiasm Rainbow. But as a true American, son of 5 generations of Carpenters, and military family, and some real American bad asses. I’m not so sure about the youth of today going to war with China and their population. I have younger siblings, and a daughter in high school, and today’s youth seem a little soft to me. Not to say that they’re bad, or less than. But the American spirit we had after 9/11 I think is long gone. We are in a new world. One where kids walk around all day on their phones, or their social media. The world is getting smaller with social media, and we might have some very bright young minds. But this generation does not seem like a pick up your gun, sign up and go to war generation. And I’m hopeful that the Chinese population would feel the same way. War with China, would look a hell of a lot different than war with Iraq, or the Taliban.

Cheers.

To be fair, he was replying to a comment I made, which was not entirely on-topic.  However, I do believe there is a bigger picture connecting all of this.  Governments of the Western world have collectively lost their minds over a virus which poses very little threat to the bulk of their populations, something like this does not happen by accident, there are larger forces at work.

Honestly that is some bizarre shit! What the hell man. Totally reckless. Regardless of what the claim/reason was. Just plain risky and dumb really. It’s not like that is some Jet where it is easy to maneuver. That big clunky Piece Of Shit could have come apart and done crazy amounts of damage. Wow.

You know, that is proof that a majority of people are pretty dumb. Let’s take our biggest, clumsiest, oldest plane, the plane that reminds us of a 1978 Ford LTD and fly it around a heavily populated area and through and between some our tallest, most heavily/dense buildings and scare the shit out of people. Alright I guess I will read the article and find out why these jokers did this? I’m sure there is a very valid reason. And I’m sure they were vaccinated, and had on masks. They might have been checking to see if people were wearing their masks, making their vaccine appointments, and checking to see if KFC smugglers were running amuck!

The flyover was part of a festival in Brisbane coinciding with a major sporting event in the same city.

I've watched the Super Bowl and military aircraft fly over the venues, more than likely over populated areas. How is that any different?

Obviously there is an element of risk but these pilots are highly trained so the risk is somewhat mitigated.

However, it was a reckless decision on the part of the Qld government (who close their borders whenever somebody sneezes), to allow them to fly between the buildings.

Brisbane and moreover, Queensland and WA have very few Covid cases and aren't in as strict lockdowns as other states.

Our NRL competition was played entirely in Qld allowing for almost capacity crowds given that a lot of games were played in regional areas with smaller populations.

The Grand Final will be played in Brisbane this weekend ironically between two Sydney teams.

The above report is another example of sensationalism in the media.
