ZepHead315
A set of 37 never before seen slides of Zeppelin's last gig at Madison Square Garden on July 29th, 1973 has just come out. Some great pictures in here. Thanks to Glyn and the other folks at the Dogs of Doom for sharing! John M
These are fantastic. Thank you for sharing. I wish more of the movie had been shot from a vantage point like this, where you can see the whole band at once, without all the quick cuts and moving cameras. badgeholder
Cool! Weird how it looks like they're all jammed together, almost like they're the opening band or something.

Mikelangelo
Dark stage setting once again must have fitted well with the atmosphere of Led Zep!!! 🤫

Joe Massot should have mounted a camera on a tripod at the soundboard desk. You had to have the proper speed of film and calculate the proper exposure and shutter speed. If you were a kid with just a cheap instamatic camera, chances are your photos were washed out by the automatic flash and the only things clearly visible were the backs of the heads of the people in front of you. No, the stage was not as dark as it appears in old photos and 8mm film or videos. The human eye could see better than the camera eye. That is why Jimmy Page's laser pyramid never shows up as well in photos and videos as it did in real life. Mikelangelo
Yes, you're right it's more like "seemingly dark" stage. Obviously photos never capture the real vision. Luckily they are some very good, clear and sharp live photos 😃
