charlton
I need a list of some books that have great pictures of the band. Looking for somthing for the coffee table.
Keepa Coolin' Baby
The single best IMHO (and likely the most expensive) is Ross Halfin's 'The Photographers Led Zeppelin'. Hard to find - I got mine on ebay for $400US. If I were putting this book out as a 'coffee table' book I wouldn't allow any liquids, including coffee, within 10 feet and I would have pairs of white gloves for people to wear while perusing the book - lol. docron
is there anything on a college student budget that can withstand some drunk people, but also has sweet photos? i dont want to spend 400 bucks to have one of my buddies use it for a platform to kegstand off of... jadester48
on a similar note, i would like to know of any good rock music photo books. I'm talking about pics of solo artists or full bands performing, live preferably, although i'd settle for some studio pics too. But primarily of rock musicians, as i mentioned at the start (this is the music that interests me the most) i'm after pics that are at least A4 in size, and also preferably in colour
Teedee
I have one called Z. Led Zeppelin Live Dreams by Laurence Ratner which has some excellent large photos in. There's a foreword by Dave Lewis which is spelled 'foreward' in the book. Not sure how much you'd pay for one now but I've not seen many around. Maybe someone else could help? They go for around $60.00. I think it was more when it was first released LOL. I think Laurence may have lost money on the project. Even so, it really is a high-end book with some excellent color shots.

Both books are great for pictures.

LedZep342
I only have Dave Lewis's The Concert File, which is a great source for rare photos, reviews etc., LZ-'75: The Lost Chronicles of Led Zeppelin's 1975 American Tour, which also contains a few rare photos... I'm trying to find pictures post Japan '71 shows, anyone know if any of these books have them?

This was a pretty good book and a must have for fans. Only thing I didn't like was how they tried to cram too much into one page. Especially the pictures that cross both pages, because you really can't see the part in the middle where the pages come together. I think this one, Neal Preston's "Portraits", Live Dreams, The Photographer's Led Zeppelin, and Hexagonal Experiences are the best I've seen and must haves. Also, for anyone wanting "The Photographer's Led Zeppelin", the average price for it has dropped and it usually shows up on eBay for just over $100. It was going for $600 a few years ago. Might wanna jump on that with the anniversary coming up.
