LedZeppfan1977 Posted October 14, 2021 Posted October 14, 2021 Not many hockey fans here I know. But myself and Zepcoda are 2 and there are more. Are you around Zepcoda? I am so pissed at Jack Eichel. Star and best player of my Sabres. He want the total disc replacement surgery, never done on a hockey player and the Sabres will allow the bone fusion, a surgery I had at 39 and it went very well. Now he is going to miss the entire season regardless. If he had the surgery next week sure he could play in a couple or 3 months. But he and the Sabres wont budge. And a trade is less likely. Very risky. If my damn Sabres cant muster some goals vs Montreals 3rd goalie tonight I will lose it. But I have the Bills. Oh those Bills Quote
Strider Posted October 25, 2021 Posted October 25, 2021 Seattle has a hockey team?!? I had no idea. Release the Kraken! Quote

The Sabres beat Tampa 5-1 last night to move to 4-1-1. They will be in LA Sunday at 4. Anaheim first on Thursday night. Quote

And they have advantage of that new draft system that allows them to rob teams blind. They got Jaden Shwartz from the St Louis Blues for Gods sake. Not really fair IMO. Has anyone seen Zepscoda? How about you Sean? Is he gone? Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted April 30, 2022 Author Posted April 30, 2022 My picks for the finals. Toronto vs either Calgary or ST Louis. I cheer for the Blues. My 2nd favorite team behind only the Sabres who by the way are getting better. Need a goalie and they return to playoffs next year. So, an all Canada final is possible. Toronto vs Calgary. But do not sleep on the Blues. I expect Strider maybe to chime in. Not many hockey fans here and that is too bad. Zepscoda is gone? Have no idea where or why Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted May 2, 2022 Author Posted May 2, 2022 The playoffs are set to start in the NHL. This I believe is the year Canada returns to the finals. Either Toronto or Calgary if not both. i cheer for the Blues but it will be tough. I expect them to win vs Minnesota. Florida is the mystery team. They won the Presidents trophy first time ever. Best regular season record. Not an easy thing to do Quote
Strider Posted May 14, 2022 Posted May 14, 2022 Kings had a chance to close out the Oilers on their home ice and blew it. Now it is Game 7 at Edmonton tomorrow and I don't like L.A.'s chances. The other team I am cheering on is Boston and they are on the ropes, too. Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted May 28, 2022 Author Posted May 28, 2022 Damn Blues, my 2nd fav team get eliminated with 4 damn seconds left!!! Sucks. They deserved better. Damn good team. O'Reilly game has dropped off a bit. The Sabres have improved to the point, with the acquisition of a goalie or if Luukenen can produce, they will be in the hunt next year. I hope they pursue one of St Louis goalies as one of them can start on a regular basis elsewhere. Or the Kings. Give me one of your damn goalies Strider Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted June 4, 2022 Author Posted June 4, 2022 Who saw the Rangers coming? Not I. Toronto was robbed in that series and I still believe they are the best team. The refs ruined it. They gave Tampa a 2 man advantage for two minutes they did not deserve in that 6th game, with the Leafs up 3-2 in both the game and series. You cant stop a 5 on 3 in the NHL for 2 damn minutes. Its just not happening. Not unless you have a guy like Hasek in the nets. Even then, its damn tough. So it still looks like Colorado is going to win the Cup. Can the Rangers beat them assuming they do not blow this 2-0 lead? It wont be easy because Colorado is fast. St Louis could have won the Cup if not for that goal with 4 seconds left, caught sleeping expecting the game would go to OT. Like a receiver in the NFL thinking of running with ball before he catch's it. For you non hockey folks. OK. Colorado is going to beat the McDavid led Edmonton Oilers from the far north. Barring some unforseen miracle. The Rangers have Tampa on the ropes. And they do not have Point, one of their top scorers. They have the hot goalie and he was not enough at the Garden to stop these Rangers. If the Rangers win the Cup it will be incredible. And if they do it at Madison Square Garden, its going to be bedlam. Quote
hummingbird69 Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Damn! The Rangers looked a lot like the Bruins with that lackluster play and the get one give it right back crap! Tampa wanted it more, plain and simple. Let's Go AVS!!!!!! Quote
Strider Posted June 16, 2022 Posted June 16, 2022 I sort of lost track of the playoffs once the Kings and Bruins were eliminated. I was hoping at least one Canadian team would make it to the Cup Finals...either Edmonton or Calgary. But once again, a Canadian team will not hoist the Stanley Cup. So it is Colorado vs. Tampa Bay? Go Avs! Quote

I picked them in 6 but it could be less if things go right. The Blues would have beaten Tampa and Toronto should have. I thought the Canada streak of at least being in a final had a chance with Calgary who were better than Edmonton easily in regular season. I thought the the Leafs and Colorado would be the final once the Blues allowed that goal with 4 seconds left. I wanted the Blues, my 2nd fav next to my Sabres who should be much better with Powers coming but they must pick up a goalie. Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted June 19, 2022 Author Posted June 19, 2022 Touchdown Colorado. 7-0 drubbing of Tampa. Turn out the lights. The party is over. Colorado will win this thing. Book that. These are not the Rangers. And even the refs cant beat them like they did the Leafs who should be facing CO Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted June 22, 2022 Author Posted June 22, 2022 Colorado will bounce back. I still love their chances as they are up 2-1 and are the better team Quote
hummingbird69 Posted June 23, 2022 Posted June 23, 2022 WoW! Kadri made a great move to win it! I just love the look on the fans faces when their team loses!! Quote

I do not like either team but CO deserves to win Tampa only won the Leafs series because of a horrible call by the refs. They deserve to lose and lose they will. Kadri came from the Leafs. The Leafs should have kept him but they are still plenty good. Good enough to be here next year and they are my early pic to get to the finals from the East. The Blues will have a say in the West. Colorado has the rare chance to win on home ice. So often these things are won on the road. Like Golden State did in the NBA Quote
hummingbird69 Posted June 25, 2022 Posted June 25, 2022 AVS blue it last night! what a bunch of dopes, waaaaaayyyy to many penalties. Vasilevskiy is one hell of a goalie!! Quote
hummingbird69 Posted June 27, 2022 Posted June 27, 2022 2 shots for Tampa in the third!!! shows what a great team the AVS are. Quote

Glad its over. Hate both teams. Next year new blood. The Leafs are going to be plenty tough as are my 2nd team the Blues. I expect my Sabres to fight for a playoff spot and be much improved given that jerk off Adams, the GM, gets us a damn goalie. Otherwise he best throw Luukenen to the phucking Sharks Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted January 8, 2023 Author Posted January 8, 2023 Sabres keep rolling! Beat Minnesota 6-5!!! Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted January 20, 2023 Author Posted January 20, 2023 https://www.nhl.com/sabres/news/buffalo-sabres-establish-ryan-miller-legacy-fund-to-support-courage-of-carly-fund/c-340118498 A special night in Buffalo. Ryan Miller's number 30 is raised to the rafters! Miller has many an old teammate present to support him. Great speech. Pegula and Rick Jeanorette there. Hasek and Briere give their support from afar. Ryan gets his golden sword and his number 30 is raised to the rafters where it will stay forever. He was my favorite goalie ever. The best American born goalie of all time. Vezina trophy winner and MVP in Olympic games. He was our goalie for the Presidents Cup in 06 and if not for losing 4 starting defenseman in that year, leading 3-2 in game 7, it cost us the Stanley Cup. But Miller was something special. He was the best breakaway goalie I have ever seen. Has many many SO and OT wins. The most in Sabres history. Fare thee well Ryan Miller!!!! Miller was stellar in the community, he went to see countless children with cancer at Roswell park. The place my late step father went when he passed of luukemia in 06. Its a tough game to play going in there and seeing kids in that condition. Ryan Miller did it. Quote
LedZeppfan1977 Posted January 26, 2023 Author Posted January 26, 2023 Sabres win at Dallas and St Louis and now on to Winnipeg with a 5 game winning streak and only 3 points from the playoffs. And 3 games in hand on the Capitals. We can knock them out. Quote
