Why? He served as his highest ranking military officer for his Presidency - loyally - so his view would carry some weight, no? It also might have something to do with Trump's "enemy within" line which he has expanded upon multiple times and says applies to Kinzinger, Pelosi, the press, journo's, comedians, "the radical left" (anyone who disagrees with him). He does not seem to me to be joking or exaggerating when he clearly says people should be in jail like those mentioned and he even says the National Guard and or military may need to be used. No, he ain't fucking around. On the contrary, he's deadly serious. Same as when he says he needs to "sort out the press". He says it over and over, why not believe him?

You don't have to agree with Milley's view, but a crock? Dunno man, I listen to what Trump says and it's not a far fetched view. A LOT of what he espouses is textbook fascist.

The National Guard and/or military SHOULD have been used when the BLM crowd was vandalizing, robbing, burning, assaulting and killing during their "mostly peaceful"  protests!

Come on, ya gotta take his stuff with a grain of salt. He's got a great sense of humour too. I'm sure he frustrates the hell out of the assassins too. Who's the next maniac that will try? They've got 19 days to try again. Wouldn't put it past them.

There is rhetoric and then there is policy. His policies were and remain far from fascist. The Republicans who oppose him are for the most part Establishment DC swamp creatures. Trump's an outsider.

Or maybe they are? - so Trumps judgement in people he's picked for his inner circle is that off????

Record early voting turnout, Trump camp flooding polling with dodgy right leaning polls to set up "it's obviously rigged!" bullshit, the left constantly and blindly declaring how "close" the race is when I suspect they know they are well ahead but don't want to risk it, it all points to a blue wave baby....

They were onboard and loyal at first because unfortunately they were, again, DC swamp creatures who crave power and nothing else besides. I believe he learned some hard lessons from his first term in office and that he will choose more carefully in his second term.
