ledzepfilm
After a huge hiatus in our liberation series, we are excited to return to you all with some new 8mm footage from Led Zeppelin’s first performance in Landover on February 10, 1975. This is the second film source known to exist from this show and the first to contain more than just Heartbreaker. The filmer snuck his Super 8 camera into Sky Suite #1 at the Capital Center. This gives us a rare full stage view of the 1975 experience. Originally sent to me with 14 minutes of film, finding that three of the four reels ran extremely fast expanded this footage out to nearly 23 minutes! I decided to sync this one to the audience recordings as opposed to the soundboard since I think it’d fit the experience and vantage point a lot more (and the soundboard reveals much more than a few flaws). The transfer itself is a bit overexposed, but the film more than makes up for it for its comprehensive coverage of the show and lengthy clips. Special thanks to Jimmy Nalley for filming and sharing his digital transfer of this footage!

badgeholder
Cool! 20 + minutes even! Another great synch job, I don't know how you do it, I mean Moby Dick, mission impossible, but it's perfect! Wise move to use the aud recording. Muchos gracias to the Dogs of Doom
