What is the significance of the taxi driver almost running over the guy as he crosses the street while listening to Kashmir?

That a lot of people with headphones on in public don't always know what's going around them? Can't hear a car coming? Can't wait to get in line at the store and babble rudely in public on his/her cellphone?

The clever Verizon commercial was created with the casual Zeppelin fan in mind, and includes many symbolic references. For example:

1 Band's symbols in Tatoo parlor window

2 Tatoo girl with symbols down her back

3 Double neck Gibson in window

4 Bow

5 Swansong poster on building

6 Stickman

7 Physical Grafitti building

I'm curious to know if anyone may have an opinion about the near-collision with the taxi. Not really looking for obnoxious or sarcastic remarks. Keep 'em to yourself tough guy.
