zeplz71 Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Looks like Sunday will see the public release of "Speedys" Montreal 75 footage. Quote
Zep Hed Posted April 5 Posted April 5 Dunno whether it's new stuff or an upgrade on what we've seen. Looking forward to Sunday! Quote
Zep Hed Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Awesome! 50+ mins of fresh footage. Click the video in the first post. 😁 Quote
SteveZ98 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Amazing that stuff like this is still coming out. Thanks to all involved in making this happen. Quote
The Only Way To Fly Posted April 8 Posted April 8 From what I've seen so far I'm amazed at the minimal use of lights and show. Great footage!! Quote
Tony Defilippis Posted April 8 Posted April 8 (edited) ......this is MINDBLOWING.....it is so cool that....FINALLY..... after a HALF CENTURY....and TONS of 8mm audience footage ......here for the first time we see specifically what Showco's lighting choices were to open the gig....and it was INFINITELY more intricate / interesting than I'd have guessed....little things like that ain't 'small at all' for me....only at beginning of Sick Again and I'm LOCKED IN....if this ends up showing a lot of the insane Bonham Sick Again fills right now I'm gonna pass out.... gcczep Posted April 8 Posted April 8 The audience's response to Moby Dick was great. Overall nice to witness an event that is close to an hour's worth. What a capper to this Sunday. Fantastic footage. Quote
hummingbird69 Posted April 8 Posted April 8 Moby Dick is a revelation, we finally see just how talented John was even in 75. His chops are on display big time! One arm rolling over the kit the other doing the one handed roll. Buddy Rich would be proud. This was a pretty good drum solo for 75 and it's proof that John wasn't just a drummah in a band he was a true Percussionist. Quote
KnightsofNi Posted April 8 Posted April 8 This is incredible footage . I am shocked that it took almost 50 years to release it. Many thanks to all involved!! Quote

It was also really nice to hear the long, loud applause from the crowd at the end of the song. Quote
luvlz2 Posted April 9 Posted April 9 Very nice footage, big thanks to Speedy and LedZepFilm for the great sync job and everyone else who was involved in producing this! Quote
badgeholder Posted April 10 Posted April 10 Awesome! Just the sheer length alone is amazing. Those film cans are like three minutes each! He had to smuggle in freakin' twenty of 'em! Hats off to Speedy, he is a legend. Great Bonzo footage, Moby Dick, wow, Trampled also a big highlight. Great synch by LZF as usual. Look forward to the other stuff coming soon Quote
John M Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Thanks to all who made this happen. At 10:22 before the guitar solo in Over the Hills the guitar drops out. Great 20 seconds of bass and drums follows. Edit - in the YouTube comments someone pointed out that from the film it appears Page broke a string and got another guitar. I had not noticed that on first viewing. Edited April 11 by John M Quote
reids Posted April 11 Posted April 11 With all of this incredible footage being released finally, it’d be a great time for the surviving members of Led Zeppelin to reissue the 2003 Led Zeppelin dvd (actually upgrade to blu ray with more bonus / added content). R😎 Quote

R😎 I reckon with AI it might be possible for Page to "project" a re-release that would blow everyone away. (does he have Copenhagen SB's?) Quote
KnightsofNi Posted April 12 Posted April 12 Copenhagen Faulkner Theatre concert is the new holy grail. Quote
