Miquael Posted November 16 Posted November 16 In 2015 I bought a test pressing of the Death Wish soundtrack on Ebay which used to be part of a collection of possessions of Peter Grant (I added pics of the Ebay listing as well as pictures of the listing of the auction house). Since I haven't found any listing of this record as such on Discogs, I wonder how rare it is (how many test pressings were made), and it's value nowadays. Quote
SteveAJones Posted November 17 Posted November 17 A test pressing and a white label promo are two separate things. This item is a white label promo, which is a pressing of a record that was manufactured specifically for radio stations or other promotional (non-retail) use. Generally speaking, they are limited to a few thousand or less. As for value the provenance connecting it to Peter Grant's estate adds interest, and if it were in mint condition, it would probably sell for around $300 to $400 USD in a high-profile auction. However, this one is in so called VG+++ with obvious surface scratches. I'd say it has a market value of $75 to $125 USD to a motivated buyer. Quote
Miquael Posted November 17 Author Posted November 17 (edited) Perfect, cause I paid just a fraction of it. Luckily it's completely skuff and scratch free, plays without pops, skips and is silent in the soft passages. Edited November 17 by Miquael Quote

I very much wanted to obtain his furnishings and collection of Alphonse Mucha art but the time and location wasn't conducive to doing so. Quote

Art is a pain in the ass to obtain, I just spent 1500 on a 9'' by 12 '' Chet Zar painting (the guy who worked for Tool). Quote
