lzfan715
Airport "WHOLE BODY SCAN" IMAGES: Transportation Security Administration (TSA) undated handout image shows a composite of 4 separate scans, a female in the left two and a male in the right two, from a whole body scan machine, or millimeter wave machine being used at a security check point at the Salt Lake International Airport in Salt Lake City, Utah. The new machine developed by New York based L3 Communications is in use for the first time today by passengers and takes a whole body scan penetrating clothing. This is a pilot program by the TSA to test the machines in a live setting for the first time at Salt Lake International Airport March 10, 2009. Another Airport Scan (Female) I completely understand that they are trying to protect people, but what ever happened to privacy? Should you ahve to consent to something like that? I think that security is tight enough, they don't have to get a scan of all my lumps and bumps to see that I'm not hiding a gun in it.

BonzoLikeDrumer
Photo I took while at the park: Taken after hiking in Chimney Rock Park, North Carolina: Nice. Not to far from my neck of the North Carolina Wood's.
BonzoLikeDrumer
If you suffer from a convergence insufficiency (can't cross your eyes) like I do, then you won't be able to see the stereoscopic image. In other words, your eyes will not be able to fuse the two images into one. It seems like there is too much proximal disparity between the two images for them to be fused. Can any one here on the forum fuse the images? I sure can't. If you can, measure how far away the computer screen has to be in order to do so. Seeing it in stereo will depend on the distance that you have the computer away from your eyes in relationship to the separation between the two images as well as the size of the pictures. I had no trouble putting them together but I'm wondering why? One picture is ok as one picture and I hate crossing my eye's. About 2 feet away from my LCD.

The Rover
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/comm...%BCmqi_2008.png Ürümqi, the capital of Xinjiang. Xinjiang is a large region in central Asia that is governed as an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. The region's ethnic composition is highly diverse, and is composed of numerous minority groups - 45% of its population being Uyghurs, and 40% Han, who are the majority ethnicity in China. The region's capital, Ürümqi, is a heavily industrialized city of over 2.3 million people, approximately 75% of whom are Han, 12.8% are Uyghur, and 10% are of other ethnic groups. Tensions between Uyghurs and Han have existed in the area for several decades, especially in recent years. With the increasing pace of influx of Han, some Uyghurs believe that they are gradually being squeezed out, both economically and politically, and say they are denied the rights to worship and to travel. They also reject what they see as cultural imperialism from Beijing, which has for example ordered the demolition of parts of the Kashgar old town. Instances of violence and ethnic clashes around Xinjiang include the 1997 Gulja Incident and the 2008 Kashgar attack, as well as the more widespread 2008 Uyghur unrest preceding the Olympic Games in Beijing. On the other hand, some Han people are dissatisfied by government policies which they believe favour Uyghurs, and believe laws are more lenient towards Uyghurs than towards Han people.
