Bert Jansch is probably my favourite. I can barely stand how good that man is. It just seems somehow wrong that someone is that amazing coupled with such simplicity.

Others I dig are:

Jeff Beck

Jimmy Page

Johnny Winter

Elmore James

B.B. King

Jimi Hendrix

Eric Clapton

& various others.

For me:

Page...

then...

Dave Gilmour

Vini Reilly (The Durutti Column)

Michael Karoli (Can)

Johnny Marr (Smiths)

John Fahey

Nile Rodgers (Chic)

Pete Townsend

Jimi Hendrix

and for sheer rifftastic brilliance, Sterling Morrison and Lou Reed duetting on "What Goes On" on the Velvets' Live 69 album. B)

I m starting to like Peter Green alot. But if i was Building the Mount Rushmore of Guitar Heroes. Page, Hendrix, B.B. King and the last spot is a toss up for me because i just don't really care about anybody else to put their faces up their. This is the rolling stone 100 greatest Guitarist. and i do disagree with most of it except that Van Halen is number 70.

Jack White should not be on that list.

I just found out who the fuck is Ry Cooder.
