SunChild
Same one I'm gonna try....... Have anotherrrrrrrrr OK - here are two cures for hiccups that seem to work. The one that always works for me is, grab your tongue and pull on it. Seriously. Can't hiccup holding your tongue! 'Course it looks kinda strange. Two: press firmly, but not uncomfortably, on an eyeball. (Helps to close your eyes first. ) Apparently somehow connects to the same nerve that triggers hiccuping. Oh, on the topic at hand: "How the East Was Won" gets my vote.
croquet'n'cocaine
No one suggested it might be about an official O2 DVD release? Seems unlikely that Page would announce that though, but may be a reference to it if he takes questions from journalists rather than just making some kind of prepared statement. fortunata811
I agree that this is probably a promotional appearance of some kind but I'm hopeful that we'll learn something of Jimmy's future plans, either with JPJ, Plant and Jason, or on his own. stonefreelee
YES, that's it!! Page finally remembered that the Japan 71 tour wasn't only multitracked but also professionally filmed. And now a 5 DVD / 10 CD set is on the way containing all 5 concerts from this tour, complete in audio and video . The weird thing is: I really (seriously) hope that something like this will happen I know you're foolin' but wouldn't even ONE of those shows be awesome!?!? My first ever,uh, import, (i think!) was Japan '71. It was a mixed bag from obviously different sources, but I do remember a crystal clear version of 'Friends'... that version alone would be worth the price of admission! I remember on the album Percy saying over and over again (between songs or tech difficulties), "Ah, Japan is such a lovely place, lovely place..." Does anyone remember this? I think I still have the vinyl in a 'basement box" somewhere...love to trasfer to cd...
stonefreelee
Agreed. Too much has come out recently (O2 reunion, TSRTS revision, Mothership). I hardly expect it to be more than a visit and some shaking of hands and mugging for the massive Japanese fanbase. Glad he's getting out though. yeah, i dont think we'll see any 'product' for a while...they dont wanna "flood" the market. Of course, I'm sure that would make absolutely NO difference to us LED heads! Who wouldn't buy a "new" zep release...OFF TOPIC (but cant resist): Wish the boys would come out with their own "Dagger Records" or "Bright Midnight Records" lord knows there are plenty of shows 'in the can'...they may not be up to Jimmys' standards, but they are LED ZEP! If us "LED-HEDS" have been putting up with crappy audience recordings (and the such) for decades, well, I for one would buy two! Or three! And donate a copy to the public library (like i read some blessed soul did for TSRTS)! PLEASE JIMMY!!!
SIBLY
I wish they'd drop the quality standard too. Some Dick's Picks type releases would be very acceptable. Surely it's better to release officially and make the money themselves rather that let bootleggers clean up.

Anyone gotta a cure a ain't tried???? Try this cure it usually works for most normal hiccups. The ones brought on by having far too much cerveza sometimes don't work. Put your forefinger between your pinky and ring finger and hold it there for 15-30 seconds and they should go away. Usually works but not always. solar
Actually, Robert Plant and JPJ held a press conference in Hamburg, Germany to promote HTWWW & Led Zeppelin DVD, among other recent examples. Obviously, JPJ's attention is focused on his involvement with the Grammy's and Robert has shown minimal desire to promote any of last year's Led Zeppelin releases given his involvement with Krauss. Jimmy has always been the one to handle the Japanese market, with or without Robert. Let me rephrase what I meant. They didn't hold a press conference TO ANNOUNCE any of those things. They did stuff to promote it, but that's different than making a major announcement. Also, does anyone know if Mothership or TSRTS has been officially released in Japan at all? That would say something. Another possibility: Perhaps it's a Sony affair where Jimmy will announce TSRTS will only be available in Blu-Ray (hence the removal of all HD-DVDs). Lee
He probably comes to Japan mainly to collect CDs & DVDs of O2 concert, etc. I heard that one of these shops at NishiShinjyuku, Tokyo, received a phone call from Jimmy recently. He asked "what time is your shop closed?". He comes to Tokyo occasionally for this purpose. NishiShinjyuku is a famous area several this kind of shops gathered. This weekend, many fans who want to meet Jimmy will be around at NishiSinjyuku. Well, he won't have much trouble locating this stuff, I was in that area about 10 days after the gig, and there were already half s dozen assorted CDs and DVDs to choose from. They didn't even have the third Eye DVD at that time....
