caesarschariot
My head says its simply a promotional exercise for Mothership , Revised TSRTS etc in the eastern market . My heart says its to announce the official release of a live recording of Budokan Hall from 23 or 24 Sept 1971 to become HTEWW . What it is definately not for is to announce further Zep dates .There has been an unprecedented amount of Zep activity in recent months which is so unlike them and I think we are due a period of inactivity ( I hope I'm wrong though !!) . Anyway , he would not announce this on his own and in Tokyo of all places !! Robert has his ongoing commitments with AK although his interview at MSG on 25 th Jan would suggest that it is only a matter of time before their time is gonna come at MSG . ro_a
Robert made himself clear at the football game. He doesn't want to discuss what is around the corner because his energy is in the AK project. Therefore Jimmy will not undermine Robert's tour by announcing Led Zep shows. My money is on him a)announcing solo music b)dvd of O2 gig. If he mentions new Zep shows, it's just going to create tension on the AK tour. If anything he'll announce its NOT happening to take the pressure off Robert.

Henrik
The funniest thing I've heard in a long time was that Jimmy's going to announce he saved money by switching his insurance to Geico. That reminds of the caption thread on the old board. "Hi, I'm Jimmy Page, I just saved a ton of money by switching my car insurance to Geico!" zepjap
According to a Japanese Zep fan site, Jimmy came to at least three boot CD shops in NishiShinjyuku today . He has press conference tommorow.
Hand_Of_Omega_91
Well whatever the press conference is about, I dont think its anything major, why Japan? Unless hes doing a solo thing. As for the boots, I remeber in Classic Rock Magazine in '06 there was an article about Iron Maiden in Japan for their "A Matter of Life and Death" tour and they were in boot shops looking for their boots for the hell of it, bands do it to get a kick out of it. The only boot related thing I could think of is the O2 gig, hed want that off the shelves for sure. Well well find out tomorrow, it is very interesting though. Not meaning to be disrespectful but Japan is a random place for a rock star to have a press conference. (But ther emay be a rason Im not aware of). King of the Hill People
Funny, I never knew T.O. was into zep. THANK YOU!!!!!! I was wondering if I was the only one on the board that follows football any. I think the popcorn line and "Giving them the business" are my two favorite lines from football that should be applied in day to day life.

euro
It's arguably Led Zeppelin's third largest market, after the US and UK. Canada is bigger Zepp market than Japan by far, Zeppelin have sold at least twice as many albums in Canada than Japan eventhough the population of Japan is like 4 times bigger. Zeppelin are popular in Japan for english speaking rock band but Japanese still flock to their own artist. The Japanese also really love the Madonna,Mariah Carey and Abba thing as well.
